Left Handed Randy Rhoads style V. Black. Floyd Rose tremolo. 24 fret. Bolt on neck. Came with zip-up guitar case and lead. 2007 model. New model for this manufacturer. 3 way selector switch, twin humbucking p/ups. It is lighter than I would've expected. Can't really sit and play because of shape. Have to stand. I'm probably the first person to buy this new model.

Great sound for heavy metal. Very rich sound on clean. Front pickup good for blues lead sound. Drop tuned it sounds awesome. Good sustain. Not noisy on clean. A tad noisy with amp overdrive on 10. Both pickups selected it gives a very even sound suitable for jumping from rhythm to lead. I like the shape. It is nicer than a Gibson Flying V. The headstock is not the same as the Jackson Randy Rhoads model this one was based on.

It has a Floyd Rose which was a bit of a pain to get tuned when I changed the strings. Factory setup was pretty good. I lowered it a tad more simply by lowering the trem. Intonation perfect. No flaws in the finish. It has a pretty deep lustre. Controls all good. Tone knob works the way it should.
Reliability/Durability

No Opinion
I've only just acquired this guitar. I haven't really roughed it up yet. For practicing it has been great, just have to stand to play. Must be the case for every V guitar I would think. Since I only play Hard Rock, Metal I wouldn't use a backup. I think it will be ok. It is well built.

1 year Warranty for Australian and New Zealand customers only. Great company. Really looking after the lefties. Price real good too. A "real" Randy Rhoads V from Jackson is around US$3000.00. I think this is just as good, except it doesn't have Seymour Duncans like the Jacksons.

Overall this is a good guitar. Well made. Great price. It doesn't have Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios but standard pickups are good enough. It is excellent value for money and great to play and sounds good. I can't compare this to any other LH V guitar because Vs are near impossible to get anyway and the Jackson ones aren't obtainable here in Australia. I would rather pay $1300 locally with Warranty for something as good or close to as good as the $3000 Jackson than wait forever and save forever to get a $3000 USA Jackson that might get damaged in transit from USA to Australia.
