2008 Gaskell SAGE - Australian guitar commpany. Left handed headless guitar with a Steve Vai monkey grip. Designed in Australia. Made in China. 24 frets. 2 humbuckers, 1 single coil. 5-way selector. Pickups are Korean. Basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard. Bridge is by "Overlord of Music"

Nice features. Pretty unique guitar. Don't know of any other like it.

Sound : 9
Sound is good. It can pitch bend whole chords. I like it better tuned to D rather than E. Really suits Metal like that. Quite funky tuned to E.
Single coil pickup is a bit noisy. Don't really like S/C sound anyway.
Good variety of sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Takes a bit of getting used to this guitar. Because of the tremolo it is pretty sensitive regarding the action. After playinmg around with it for myself I got the action perfect for me once I tuned the whoel guitar down to D. Tuned to E it is a bit high but good like that for chording.
No flaws of action, fit, or finish. Looks really nice. Looks like a much more expensive guitar.
Sounds like a more expensive guitar. The electronics (sound) are really excellent.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Withstand live playing? Absolutely no problem
Hardware will last? Looks like it. It is not a "cheap" guitar. It is made very very well
Will the finish last? I think so. It is well made.
Would use it at a gig without backup? This is really a showy sort of guitar. I would use it for show so it would not be my only guitar on stage.

Customer Support : 10
The company is great. Very down to earth. Virginia, the customer service person was a pleasure to deal with. You can buy them in some shops here in Australia. They prefer if you do that rather than go direct.

Overall Rating : 10
This is a good guitar. It was surprisingly a lot better than I thought it would be. I bought it from the website information and photos. I never saw one in the shops first.

For the price, it is an above avergae guitar and excellent value for money. It is unique.

It is great that there is a company in the world that actually cares about left handed guitar players.
