I think it was an italian copy of the original Gibson SG guitar. I used this guitar on the 80's in Spain gigging with my group. It was a second hand guitar, so we never knew when it was made.
20 frets, i Think.
The same controls of the original: two tones, two volumes, one three positions swith.

I don't know but their pickups are terribly bad.
Passive electronics.
No idea about her woods.
Finish: wood very dark, brown, transparent.
body SG
Tune-o-matic bridge.
No idea about her tuners. Not bad.
Case included when we buy her.

My style was punk, rock, garage and pop music. That guitar was simply correct. The treble pickup was not bad.
Amps: A very bad and no-name amp. Effects: Boss Overdrive pedal , MXR chorus.
It was noisy. On all settings.
Very bright sound. I like this.
Not much variety of GOOD sounds.

Terribly set-up at the factory.
The pickups are not adjusted.
properly bookmatched top.
Misaligned bracing.
I like one thik of the tune-o-matic models: the comfort that offers to left your right hand touching the bridge.

I was playing this guitar 5 years. Now I have an American Standard Stratocaster (1988), one Washburn XB-120 bass and one Ramirez classic spanish MIDI guitar.
I don't wil gbuy that guitar never to play it. But perhaps as souvenir.
I don't like nothing on this guitar but his original perfect copy of the Gibson's body.
I was hating the fact that guitar was so bad built.

Gherson are Made In Italy copy-guitars made during the late 70's and the early 80's to the era's favourite models (Like SG, Strat and etc). My guitar was made in 1982. It has 22-frets, solid top. it got tone/volume knobs for every pickup. The great thing about the guitar is that it comes out of the factory with DiMarzio pickups which make it sound really killer.
It is an SG copy, with a Tune-O-Matic non-original bridge that is good, but is set too high. When I'll have the money I'll set it up a bit lower at some workshop.
Very solid tuners and a thin neck.

I mostly play Rock. In the general concept, ranging from Oldies to Modern. I use it on a Peavey 15W amp which makes it sound thiner as it is. While trying it on other amps it sounds great and even better. The sound is SG typical, great on the clean, killer on the fuzz. I like the way it sounds on high tone Fuzz.

The high bridge was set by the guy I bought it from, so I dunno about the factory settings. The guitar is made pretty well IMO, I have a Gibson SG and it got some worksmanship differences, but looking at the big picture it is nearly the same.

The guitar stood proudly through gigs, it is made like a tank. It fell and fell, and it fell... And it is still in one piece. My Gibson SG got it headstock cracked falling off a stand, the Gherson took the same dive and lasted it. I trust this guitar 100% precent. I fill very confident let it hanging without straplocks. I trust it and will use it on a gig without backup no doubt.

If I'm not mistaken, they went bankrupt or just stopped manufacturing guitars. I'd like to point out I contacted Gibson Customer Support a couple of times to help me with finding a Vibrola and pickup covers for it stating it was a copy and they were very helpful.

I've been playing for 3 years. I got a Gibson SG, a Rickenbacker 4003 and a Takamine acoustic. The guitar is plugged in thru an effect rig containing a EHX Big Muff and a Marshall JH-1 (optional Danelectro T-Bone and Dunlop Cry Baby). If the guitar would've been stolen I would've had great difficulties tracking another one, but if I could, I would definetly will. I would look for other Gherson models as well, I heard they made some nice Strats :-) . Can't say I hate anything about it, it is really well made, I love the way it handles fuzz, it is just classic. If I compare it to the Gibson i would've to say it falls in some aspects but it is a really reliable copy, and I find myself sometimes picking it up and not the Gibson.
I wish it had a Long Nickel Deluxe Vibrola like the SG/LP. I guess I would install it one day.
Look for Gherson copies. They are just worth much more than the few bucks you'll pay for them.
