Solid cedar top, very nice tight grain. Has adjustable truss rod (don't know why they bother at this price) which makes it heavy. Made in Brazil. I reasoned they have good wood down there can get it cheaper than the japanese which should translate into a decent good at a decent price (call me superstitious).

Sound : 4
For 250 bucks this guitar sounds very good. I don't understand how other reviewers can give it high 8s 9s and 10s. What are they comparing it to? It has a dark sound, a little too much so for me, but with good strings it has a nice sustain and overtones. Don't judge it by the strings it comes with. I heard other guitars in this price range and I'd say I'm pretty happy with this instrument. I changed the saddle to bone and it cleaned up and deepened the sound enough to be worth the 35 bucks for the job.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
Right out the box the guitar had good action, very nice tight grained ceder solid top. Nice looking back and side. I like the fret board wood, not ebony but is that really necessary? The polyurethane finish (or whatever it is) is thick.
The frets were all sticking out and rough at the bottom edge. After a month three of them were popping up and I had to crazy glue them back down. After another month two more popped and they would glue back down so I took it to a local luthier and 75 bucks later had great new frets--smooth and stable.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Only had the guitar 8 months. It was cheap enough that I don't care about the finish and I'd like to try sanding it off. Chances are the wood is good enough to get thinner and sound better. I have no expectations of ever selling this guitar after so why not experiment with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
My problems with the frets were over a month after I bought it so I didn't bother going through the hassle of returnng it etc. It's a cheap guitar!!

Overall Rating : 8
I'm a complete beginner but I've got ears. I hear Pepe Romero and Segovia and can recognize the quiality of their guitar sounds even on a CD. They would be a 10! I've compared guitars in stores and for the price I'm very happy with what I have. Promised myself to upgrade in a year to something in the 1200 range and when I do will still use this guitar to bang around on.

Sound : 10
Impressive sound. Nice rich sound unplugged and, with a little fiddling with the EQ and contour, an very decent electrified sound as well. I did not find it to be noisey.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action was set up by distributor, perfect. Top, back and bridge were matched and put together nicely. Some sloppy glue work here and there, but overall very good. Finish was otherwise perfect. Very attractive guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10
All seems well put together and solid. Giannini has been building classical guitars for over a century.

Customer Support : 10
Superb customer service. I purchased this from a distributor named Renato out of Indianapolis who retails this line for Etros, the importer in Florida. Outstanding response.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been actively playing guitar since 1977. I own a truckload of middle to high end guitars including several custom Gibson Les Paul's and Fender Stratocasters, a Martin D-41, Martin D-15S, Seagull S-6 Pro to name a few. I play blues, rock, jazz, classical.
I compared this guitar to a Hofner C400? with a solid spruce top and also with a Gracia Asturias, neither of which could compete with the quality of build and tone of this Giannini Sevihla GWNC1 EL X.

Real thin neck for a nylon acoustic guitar, very sweet to play, im amazed by this cheap and awesome guitar. Id rater have bought the pre-amp version, they didnt have that, thats why i give it a 8. The finish is gorgeous, have some minor flaws, nothing that would prejudice the sound, loose points there too, but amazing.

Sound : 9
I'm learnign classical guitar, but it suits everything, has a very warm sound, a little more bass than treeble, and the bass could be a little higher, but i think its fine for a nylon acosutic guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Is AWESOME, very thin neck, smooth to play, u can forget u are playing nylon strings, low set up, no BUZZ AT ALL. Could have a better fretwork, but, HEY ITS A BOTTOM LINER..

Reliability/Durability : 8
I dotn know iet, but it seems like any acosutic guitar, a little more fragile than ordinary guitars..

Customer Support : 10
Dealt with tehm once, very fast.

Overall Rating : 10
I've being playing gyuitar for almost 5 years, im starting classic stuff now, but i have a nice technical aknoledgement of gear, so i can say it BUY, IT WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE!!! I have never played a better nylon guitar, but also never tryed top instruments.

Classical guitar. Solid red cedar (top), laminated rosewood (back and sides), cedar (neck), ebony (fingerboard), 19 frets, fold plated machine-heads. This guitar also has an adjustable truss rod and reinforced neck.

Pretty basic classical guitar.

Sound : 7
Since this is a Brazilian guitar, it's great for Bossa Nova, but so-so for Flamenco or even classical stuff. The sound is pretty average. This guitar sound may be cool for a studen. It's kind of noisy.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 3
The overall fit and finish is not very good. You can't ask too much from this instrument for the price, but you may find some flaws from the manufacturer.

Reliability/Durability : 4
I wouldn't use it at stage. It's a cool guitar for practicing, but not for a serious performance.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 5
I've been playing for 15 years. I have 2 Alhambra classical guitar, a Carugno and a lot of electric guitars. I bought the guitar as a souvenir while traveling to Chile, but is a somewhat poor instrument. If stolen or lost I wouldn't care. I like its smooth sound for Bossa Nova. I hate the annoying noises and undesired vibrations. The adjustable neck is a nice touch. The finish looks good but is not great. Think twice before you buy this guitar, if you are a student or want a cheap practice instrument may be this Gianinni is for you.
