I play mainly 70's-current rock but this guitar will pretty much make any sound your looking for. I played 4 or 5 before I bought this one. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of consistency when it comes to the wood. This one stood head and shoulders abouve the other 4 identical ones I played. It has tons of low end and the sustain rolls for days. Played through my Bad Cat or my Laney VC15 the sound is increadibly warm to say the least.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The quality of this guitar is what an $8000 should be. The neck is perfect from the plek job. The action is smooth and easy to play. The jumbo frets are the best thing since sliced bread when you infuse lots of bends in you style. I went over the guitar with a fine tooth comb before I purchased and could't find a flaw. NOTE: once again there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of consistency from Gibson. My last two CS guitars were a dissapointment compared to this one.

I have played Gibsons for 20+ years and have never had an issue. Seems to be built like a tank. (theres where gibson is consistent. the guitar will probably outlive the owner) I never bring a backup for my LP's

Comes with the Gibson Gold Warrenty but once again I have never had a quality issue with any of my LP's. Anytime I've contacted Gibson with a question their response has been prompt and friendly.

I have been playing for close to 20yrs. Overall I love this guitar. If it were lost or destroyed I would definately refi my house to get another. This is the real mccoy, the production are LP's are nice guitars but they pale in the tone/playability dept. compared to the CS runs.
