This Beast is an '07 Gibson Guitar of the week. Only 400 of this finish were made. Standard V specs, 2 humbuckers (which I immediately replaced with a Duncan Distortion bridge and Duncan 59 neck. RULES!!), 22 frets, 3 way toggle, one volume one tone, mahogany body and neck, ebony fretboard, grover tuners, and the *****in silverburst finish! I just put some chrome p/u covers on it this weekend to give it that "custom" look.
Sound

I bought this guitar as a backup to match the sound of the Gibson Explorer that I just bought a few months before and it's actually become my main guitar. It's incredibly clear and has a huge tone with my Mesa Roadking. Every time I plug it in, a tear drops from an angels eye and a when it hits the ground a steel girder shoots directly up out of the soil because it is so unbelievably metal. It's true.
Action, Fit, & Finish

From the factory the neck was damn straight and the action floated a little high for my liking. I slammed that s#!t down on the fretboard and now I have to use kevlar strings because there is so much friction from the pure shredding happening that normal strings would just melt under the heat. Probably the 2nd best fret job I've seen on a Gibson (my explorer being the first).

I have not yet had the pleasure of playing this guitar live yet because my drummer loves to tear the s#!t out of his arms and spend weeks and weeks in slings, but in the next few weeks it'll be on stage again and everyone watching will wish they had one. I'll fight them all for it. The finish is a little thinner than a piece of crap ibanez so I think it lets the guitar ring a little better. Nitro rules. Can't wait for this thing to get abused to crap.
Oh, saw the singer from Mastodon playing one in vegas a couple weeks ago. Brutal.

Gibson is the s#!t. I used to play Ibanez. They suck. Now I play Gibson because Gibson rules. Nuff said.

I have been playing for 12 years now. I live for the Metal. I have owned and sold more guitars than I care to try to remember, but I will never let this one go. If someone stole it I would personally call Chuck Norris to use his x ray vision in every household in the world until we found it. Then we'd high five and kick some *** to get it back. It feels and plays and sounds just like my Gibson Explorer, only lighter. The only thing that I wish it had was a twin brother, with an inverted burst. Magnificent.
