This guitar was made at Bozeman, Montana in 2006. Spruce top, Maple back and sides. Very basic looking, but with a flawless finish.

I really like the tone of this guitar and the salesman told me it will only get better. He said to leave it in front of my stereo speakers to help open it up. Since I live in an apartment I use headphones instead. One week on the treble side and then a week on the bass side. Now the volume and sustain are better than ever and the balance is real good on wednesdays.

I haven't had to have this guitar repaired yet but I will. The warranty is 8 1/2 x 11 I think.

I bought this guitar because I am a songwriter, and I wanted a bommy guitar. I found that guitar in the J-100. The j-100 has a massive bottom end, and fantastic note to note clarity in the A through B strings. The chords sing and the sustain goes for a good 15 seconds.
I love this guitar.

Everything about this guitar is fantasic. It practically plays itself.
Its finish is glowing and the blonde wood really sets it apart from all of the other martins you see hanging around.

I haven't had it long enough to know if it will last, but judging that Gibson has a pretty nice name for itself.

I have been playing for about 15 years now, and this is my favorite Gibson i have ever played. In fact this is the nicest guitar I have ever owned.
I love everything from its looks to its dark modest gibson tone.
I would highly recomend this guitar to anyone who is looking for a great guitar to write songs on.

Super-Jumbo sized solid spruce top/solid maple back & sides-mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard-under saddle pick-up-Kluson style gold tuners-25 1/2" scale-full body gloss finish -dovetail neck joint- hardshell case-features commensurate with a mid-price guitar.

A little bright (due to the maple body)-very full tone-a big sounding guitar-great for flat or fingerpicking and strums hard too! Nothing to dislike regarding the tone of this great guitar.

Like all other Gibson acoustics the action is set impossibly high from the factory-other than playing slide I can't imagine anybody being able to play one of these without adjusting the saddle first. I also have a lefty Nick Lucas and a lefty J-30 and they were set up the same when new. I simply pulled out the saddle and filed 'em down (alot)and now all three have nice smooth low action. Like all Gibson acoustics there are a few drips and runs in the finish on all three of my acoustics. I have two Les Pauls and neither of them have any flaws in the finish. The difference between Nashville and Bozeman I suppose. But since it appears that this is common to all Gibson acoustics, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I also own three Martin acoustics and the finish is so flawless on all of them you would swear a machine made them. I dont know if thats so good! Also The Gibsons could use a proper set-up right from the factory. the frets needed leveling and dressing on all three of mine brand new. I contacted Gibson and they feel that the guitars are set-up according to their own specifications, and individuals that may have specific tastes cannot be taken into account at the factory. By the way , all my Martins were set-up perfectly right out of the shipping crate. Now having said that, once the J-100 was properly set-up I LOVE IT!!!

I have no doubts about the durability of this guitar. It seems built as well as any guitar could be. I have owned the guitar for about two years and the gold finish is not wearing off the hardware yet (surprise!).

Never had any warranty issues-did contact Gibson a couple of times regarding my Les Pauls and they were nice enough. They answered my Emails.

Well the "clear" is starting to peel a little around the headstock and the pickguard is "lifting" a little. I dont know if it bothers me enough to do anything about it (yet). In addition to the other Gibsons and Martins I mentioned, I also have a Fender Stratocaster, a Fender Telecaster and a Guild Starfire III. I play through a Fender Vibro-King amp and a Vox "valve-tone" pedal. I really love this guitar and am very glad to own it. I have bought and sold alot of guitars but would not sell any of my Gibsons.
