Made in 2000, Bozeman, Montana. All solid wood, with beautiful quilted back and sides. Ebony fretboard and moustache bridge, abalone everywhere. Absolutely stunning insrtument to look at and play. None electric with classic machines.

Massive sound, with deep resonant bass and sweet highs, just how I love it. Even when capo used it is still loud and beautiful.

Was set up with high action when I got it, but I adjusted the bridge and truss rod myself till it was just right. One complaint might be that the 1st string was too close to the edge of the neck and the gap was wrong at the nut, so I again did it myself and now its spot on. Couple of unusual spots in the finish, but I guess when it's hand made and hand finished thats all part of its uniqueness.

Been playing acoustic guitars for over 40 years and have wanted to own one of these babies for all 40. I also own Martins, Lowden, Dobro, Fylde and Washburn guitars but this beats them hands down. It's the only big blonde my wife will ever allow in the bedroom. If it were stolen, I think I would track it down myself and deal with the perp myself.

Guitar was not set up at all. This caused quite a problem, and have taken to local luthier several times to have truss adjusted. Action is a little too close to the frets right now, and I am experiencing buzz when in alternate tuning w/Shubb capo

Yes! Amazing guitar, despite above reservations. Takes everything I throw at it, and the harder I play, the better it sounds. I don't have a backup anymore. (Used to bring my Martin JC-15E, but no need now...anyone need a Martin????)

Years and years and years....
Hope the guitar is never stolen, it was purchased with an eye on never needing another, and serving as an heirloom for my sons and grandchildren.
At times, wish it had onboard electronics or a standard neckjoint strap pin.

It's a 2005 brand new guitar that I ordered at Gibson Custom Shop. I already Own a standard js-200 and since that one is very satisfying but sounds strange, very thin like an harp on the highest frequencies and very deep in the lowest, I decided to buy another one.
This one is abalone inlayed, has selected woods and fredboard in ebony as well as the moustache bridge.
The machine heads are grover imperial.
It have a very heavy hardcase.

This is very mid-range oriented. Has loads of body more than the other one. It have very deeper basses and sweeter high frequencies.

It came out from the factory in a perfect shape witrh very low action and fast playability.

I this this guitar will sound better every hour. But as new as it is is the best acoustic guitar I have ever played in my life (I own over 60 guitars!) It seems so solid built.

Every time i buy a Gibson instrument, new or old, I ask Mr. Roger Ball from Gibson Customer support infos and advices. Even though there is a Gibson in Italy, I always have had the quickest and warmest of support.
I am a Gibson fanatic and I own more than 30 guitars by Gibson. For every one of them I always had the best support from Mr. Ball and Gibson I could ever dream.
Sometimes I buy second hand guitars and I'm not always very aware of years, conditions etc. I always had all the informations overnight.
Gibson, to me, not only build the best guitars all over the world, but also give the best support. Thank you Rober Ball!
