Made in USA 2007. 57 and 57+ classic pickups. Ebony black with gold hardware.

Sounds very warm and full with tons of sustain. Neck pickup will give you smooth and round tone whereas the bridge pickup will give more trebly and punchier sound. Ideal for all kinds of rock/heavy rock playing. Pickups don't have enough output for metal, though. I'm using it with Mesa Mark IV and they are a perfect match.

The action was perfect when I bought it. On the other hand, the paint job and finishing of the fretboard weren't so impressive. Moreover, the neck was attached with too much angle and the pickup switch was loose.

The Gibsons have withstand live playing for decades, so that's no problem. The lacquer finish eventually wears off when you play with sweaty hands but you can have it easily relacquered. The gold plating in the hardware wears off quite fast under your picking hand. These, however, affect only the looks.

Have been playing some years now and have had a couple of stratocasters. This is a very nice looking guitar with very rich tones. The 60's shaped neck is very inviting for both chords and shredding. Les Paul is not the most ergonomic guitar to play while sitting down, but it sure has the looks. Excellent guitar, if you can find one with decently glued neck, good paintjob, lacquering etc...

AWESOME looks and tone. I play through a Mesa Boogie F-50 and a Marshall DSL head and cab an it's got all the LP tones I crave!
The pickups go from vintage clean to hard rock and cover everything inbetween. They might not be so good for really heavy metal but that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Nailing a Guns 'n Roses sound through these pups is simple. Tame the gain a little on the amp and you can get a great sounding Lynyrd Skynyrd classic blues-rock tone.
Sustains like a LP should and has a good variety of tones thanks to the toggle switch and tone & volume pots.
A definite 10 for sounds.

The setup was perect straight away. First time I ever got a guitar that had perfect intonation straight out of the box. I didn't have to adjust a single thing, not even pup heights!
The finish is great on this one. All the binding is pretty much perfect, truss rod cover is nice and straight, tuners are straight, nothing to complain about. Gibsons are well known for their flawed finishes but I am more than satisfied with the qc involved in the production of this one. Sure, maybe a PRS will be absolutely perfect in construction but those guitar just don't do it for me.
This is the only name have on the headstock of this particular shape of guitar if you ask me.

Like any quality guitar it will stand up to whatever you need it to providing it is properly cared for and maintained. Sure the gold hardware will tarnish over time as will the lacquer but that's all part of the charm to me. The aged binding already looks the bees knees so this is sure to look fabulous for years to come.
I confidently play this guitar without a backup.

I've dealt with Gibson afew times and have found them to be extremely helpful and polite. I believe the factory waranty is for a year which is totally acceptable to me. I already checked the wiring out abd it is of a very high standard.

Been playing about 18 years or so. Owned about 6 LPs over the years as this has to be the best I ever tried. If it were stolen I would go crazy as I absolutely love the thing! So unusual to get killer looks and tone all in one package but I have found both these attributes here in abundance.
Cracking guitar!!

Excellent sounding pups. I play through Mesa Road King 2x12 and 4x10 cab with Celestion V-30's. Great for vintage or all-around rock. If you want metal tones or the like I would stick with ceramic pups.

Great action. Finish was poor for a $2500 axe. Binding was flawed. My $800 Schecter is twice as appointed, and with better quality control.

Overpriced, like every other Gibson Les Paul. Buy one, if you want to pay twice the price that it's worth. Or, get a custom made by a reputable luthier that is better or cheaper.

The tone of this guitar suits my "ROCK OUT" style playing perfectly.
I run it through a Marshall DSL and it's like a match made in Heaven!
The guitar stays quite even on high gain settings, as you would expect from a guitar with Humbuckers.
I have found most Les Pauls to be great at the whole bluesrock thing but not so great when you want a nice clean sound. The pickups in this guitar are very vintage in character and give a welcome lift to the usual LP clean sound. Added sparkle at the bridge and a particularly rewarding inbetween pickup setting using the neck and the bridge. You can shape the clean sounds furhter by using the volume and tone controls to great effect. Whilst I do like the clean sound on this LP a lot, I'd still reach for a Strat if I was after a "glassy" clean sound. I didn't buy this guitar though with the intention of playing it clean but I'd definitely rate it much higher than the average LP in the clean sound department.
Turn the amp to channel 2 and all the LP tones you know and love are instantly there but with seemingly added clarity. This may be down to the fact that the Humbuckers are open coiled, not too sure but it definitely sounds clearer to my ears. It has a decent bark at even low gain settings and gives that sound only a Gibson can. Through the mid gain settings there's great rhythm guitar sounds and still a great deal of vintage character to the tone. Having vintage voiced pickups might lead some people to believe that the LPCC doesn't really rock out but they'd be SO wrong to think that. Crank the gain and you get one of the hottest LP lead tones I've EVER heard. It really does scorch at the bridge humbucker making pinched harmonics a joy to pull off evertime you nail one! The high gain tones from this guitar are simply AWESOME. OK, maybe it doesn't do the whole O.T.T active EMG humbuckers thing like some Jackson or Ibanez but to me that's actually a good thing as I'm not into all that.
I find that I can get a good solo sound on both pickups wich I find is quite unusual on the guitars I play.
Even though I said I'd go for the Fender clean sound I'm still giving the LPCC 10 for sound because of the sheer quality of all the sounds, clean or dirty but especially the lead sounds available. The fact that the pickups keep their vintage voicing throughout even on high gain settings is amazing!

The guitar played great from the shop. I normally take them back in and get a full setup after I've played them for a while but it wasn't necessary with this one.
The action is great, probably about medium but this suits me perfectly. No string buzzing at all, decent string tension and seemingly perfect intonation (if there's such a thing!). The 60's neck is not quite as slim as some I've tried but a lomg way from the baseball bat shape of a lot of the 50s necks out there. I actually prefer playing 50s neck normally but the neck on this is superb! Really fast but also comfortable enough to play for lomg periods.
Being a Gibson I checked out the finish long and hard to see if I could notice any flaws. I've seen dodgy binding and dodgy paint lines around the neck of LPs of late but this one was/is spot on. Apparently there aren't usually as many flaws in the finishes of Classics compare to Standards but I don't know if this is true.
One thing I haven't mentioned yet is the weight of this guitar. I'm not sure exactly what it is in Kilos/lbs but it's definitely not as heavy as some. I don't know if this is because the body is chambered or something but is an important factor to me. I'm not sure I buy in to all that superheavy guitars have superior tone stuff some like to spout! I wouldn't call the guitar light in weight but compared to the 1980 LP Deluxe I also tried the same day I bought the LPCC it is!
It also balances superbly when worn with a strap.
Top marks again!

Only had it a little while but build seems great.
I'm not really sure what else to say about this, I look after all my guitars well and being an expensive Gibson I'd hope it will last a lifetime!
