Brand new Chinese copy of Django's Selmer. It doesn't have the slotted headstock though. Solid slightly curved spruce top, maple pack and sides. Ebony Fingerboard. Long scale neck like Django's with a cut away for access to that high C#. It came with a case and two sets of Dell'Arte John Jorgenson strings(this is because I bought it from a guy in SLC at Local Music, the best place for acoustic guitars and a chat in town).

This guitar is perfect for gypsy jazz. It has that jangly tone. Because it is fairly loud, it is great for single note lines. By changing my right hand technique I can evoke a lot of different tones out of this guitar, but it is not the most versatile because it lacks the bassy sustain of most flat top acoustics....for my style however, this is ideal.

This guitar was setup by Tom Middlen at Local Music. He put the Jorgenson strings on too. The action is fast and smooth. I would suggest buying a guitar like this from a shop rather than an online dealer just so you can have a chance to play it. Factory made instruments aren't the most consistent.

As far as I can tell, with proper care this guitar could last forever, but I'm sure the tailpiece or the tuners may need replacing at some point.....

Like I said buy this from a local guy so you can have some one in your town to talk to about it....its always easier that way...

I have been playing for about 10 years. Jazz for about half that time. If this guitar were stolen I would buy another one, certainly....It is exactly what I need at this point in my playing to develop this style....
