Features : 8
Made in 11/04 in San Dimas, CA, 22 frets, 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 way switch, Dual humbuckers (59 neck & Custom Custom bridge), Black SG style body, Mahogany body & neck, bound ebony board with really nice abalone diamond inlays, Tone Pros bridge w/ stop tailpiece, Sperzel locking tuners, 25-1/2" scale, jumbo frets, hard case included. I give it an 8 for features becuase it isn't excactly loaded with everything there is but it is exactly what I wanted in a guitar so I'm happy with it (very happy)

Sound : 10
This guitar is the best sounding & playing guitar I have ever played and I've played alot of them in my 20+ years of making loud objectionable noise. I play blues based rock n roll and hard rock and this is exactly what I wanted in a guitar. It sounds so thick, meaty, ballsy, and clear. I play through a Peters Custom Dual Channel, Marshall JCM800, and a Boogie Mark III and this guitar sounds great through all of them. This guitar sounds and plays like the best SG (better in my opinion - I've owned 4 SG standards in the past) and what you would expect a great guitar to sound and play like. It even cleans up nice which is a plus and makes absolutely zero noise. It might not score well for versatilty but that's not what I was looking for with this guitar. It is what it is - a perfect rock n roll guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It came set up perfect from the factory. Everything was dead nuts on - action, intonation, the neck was nice and straight, the frets were perfect. I went over this guitar with a fine toothed comb under a light for a half an hour when I got it and I couldn't find one thing that was wrong. Not even a speck of paint out of place - perfect.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've had it for only 6 weeks so who knows. What I do know is that it feels like it is built like a tank. I've never held a guitar that felt so "substantial" and solid. It is heavy but it balances perfectly as well unlike the "other SG". I have absolutely zero complaints with this guitar.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them so I have no idea. I've heard some good things thought so who knows? The dealer I bought it from was top notch but he's no longer a GMP dealer. I have no idea about the warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since I was 12 (I'm 35 now) and I have always been lucky enough to be able to afford nice stuff so I've played some quality guitars. I own or have owned SG's (4), a Les Paul (a keeper), PRS CE-24, Jackson Soloists, Hamer Studio, Strats, some beaters. At this point I have a pretty good idea of what I want in a guitar and this GMP is it. I really can't say enough good things about it. Almost every guitar that I have ever owned was nice but there was always a "but" that made it less than perfect. My Soloists sound and play great "but" I hate Floyd's, the PRS CE24 plays great and stays in tune like no other guitar I've ever played, and gets a lot of good sounds "but" no great sounds. This GMP SG plays great, sounds great, feels great, stays in tune, and it even looks great (the abalone inlays are so nice). I got a real good deal on this too because the dealer was closing out his GMP stock. I really couldn't happier. In fact, I liked it so much I bought another GMP and it is just as nice. These guys make some nice guitars.

Features : 10
Not sure what year it is, but it is early. The serial number is in the high 300's. It was made in San Dimas California, and it was a custom build. I purchased it second hand, so it wasn't built for me, but it sure feels like it. It looks like a solid piece of mahogany (about .5 inches thicker than an SG) with a HUGE mahogany neck, rosewood board, and abalone inlays. These guys got it right.. They use Sperzel locking tuners, and tonepros bridges standard. It has typical SG features. Two humbucking pickups (Duncan 59 and a Duncan Custom Custom), a volume and a tone for each pickup, trans cherry finish, and string through body (No tailpiece). The neck is big, and is 25.5 scale length rather than the 24.75 typical of Gibson. It doesn't really have a ton of features, but everything it has is PERFECT, thus the 10 rating.

Sound : 9
I use this guitar for hard rock.. Audioslave, Creed, Soundgarden style original material, and it fits the bill PERFECTLY. It cuts through the mix extremely well, without having the harsh top end that SG's always have. I mainly use it dry through a Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb that has been slightly modified, and occasionally use an MXR Phase 90, and a Vox wah. It is quiet, so no problems there. It has a nice tight low end, and just enough high end not to sound harsh. Very well balanced sound. Not much of a variety of different sounds, but it does everything I expected it to do, and it does it well. The only thing I dislike about this guitar is cosmetic. I wish they would have used the earlier style pickguard that does not go above the pickups, but that is mearly my own opinion, and does not effect the greatness of this instrument. I have to give it a 9 here, because it is not the best sounding guitar I own, but it is VERY close. My PRS's are SLIGHTLY better sounding.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I have no idea how it was set up from the factory, but if the current set up is even close to how they shipped it, it is FANTASTIC. No complaints. really..

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar feels like a rock. I have not owned it very long, but it feels like a tank compared to ALL of my other guitars. My PRS's feel delicate in comparison. Every piece of hardware is the best available. I never play without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them. I have heard that their customer service is fantastic. They take a lot of time when you are doing a custom order.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for 26 years. I own 34 other guitars, and this is in the top 3. If this guitar were lost or stolen I would be in a rage. This is a custom that is not in normal production, so cost, and build time would keep me out of a guitar like this for a long time. I would DEFINATELY replace it if I could afford to do so. I love the big neck. Big neck = big tone. I love the larger, one piece body. Big body = big tone. I love the tone pros bridge with the string through body. I love the locking tuners. I love the abalone inlays. I dislike the pickguard (big deal). This company deserves more attention, but things could change if they got it. GREAT COMPANY, GREAT GUITAR. Try them out.
