I play a wide variety of styles from classic rock to Metal to Acoustical easy listening (no country or rap though, it just wont come out my fingers)But mainly Original stuff about as varied. On the songs I choose the Godin it works great.I mostly play it through a Peavey Ecoustic 212w/vocal channel also (great amp for solo performers/small gigs, but thats another review)I use it to get an Acoutical sound I cant get out of my solid bodies and I went this way because I got tired of fighting feedback with traditional Acoustics.Ive found this guitar to do a fine job of giving me the acoustic sounds I need. While as has been noted it doesnt totally replicate a full body acoustic, It gives a good sound. The controls need to be set and left alone for the most part as they can be a little touchy AND hard to adjust in mid song. Ive found that I dont have to turn them up past about 5 or 6 with the mid being left down about 3 and the Gain around 4-7 depending. When like this I have no feedback problems and get a nice Acoustical sound, when pushed further, feedback. but I have no need to push it furter as it is quite loud with these settings, well, plus the 100 watts from the Peavey. You can really tailor your sound to suit your style so long as your style doesnt require a Martin or such.Just remember its NOT a full body acoustic. The one and only issue I have with this Guitar is that the High "E" is lower in volume than the rest of the strings when using "9s' so ive gone to "10s" and that helps but doesnt solve the problem.Godin reccomend 10s now, it used to be 9s years ago.

As I got it used, no comment on factory setup. The guitar still has no flaws as far as workmanship or materials and has a beautiful nicely bookmatched top, never had anything come loose and everything works fine.I love the Action!!!sweet easy and FAST, with access all the way to 22 fret!Try that on your full body.really, all joking aside this is one of the best features, Acoustical sounds,Electric Action to me the best of both worlds. And try some of your favorite solo3s for a different take on them.(I like to whip out some Angus licks once in awhile)

This guitar has been with me 10 years now and although I dont gig as much as I used to,it has never failed me(knock on wood)As with all Gold tone Hardware I expect it to wear but it has not yet!(its only the tuners after all)Its seen lots of playing (its my living room guitar too)been knocked over by the kids and been through lots of gigs including TV Shows cause its pretty.Finish still looks great!Buttons were fine but I gotts have Straplocs.Although I always bring Backups, never even broken a string on a gig with this guitar.Looks light wieght but its SOLID

Yeah Id find another, its much easier now...I love the sounds, ease of play, weight or lack thereof. The variation in the volume of the High "E" from the others is a bit of a bummer, but the action....ahhhh.
When I got this the only other guitar I had seen that was similar was the Kramer Ferrington and I thought this far surpassed it on all levels.(Sorry Kramer..)
