Parts made in Canada, assembled in the USA, 22 fret birds eye maple neck, solid body with a maple top. cognac burst finish. 1 volume, 1 tone (that acts as a mid boost), S/S/H, high gloss finish, 5 way switch, Schaller "2000" bridge, Schaller locking tuners, Schaller strap lock buttons, 25.5 scale length, Godin includes a nice hardshell case with all their guitars.

I play mostly hard rock and a bit of blues. I chose this guitar for quite a few reasons, one it has great pickups that sound awesome through my Peavey Ultra 112 with a DOD chorus and BOSS GE-7 pedals going through the effects loops. That humbucker just screams rocknroll, and slowly drifts into controllable feedback which I love hearing. It's real quiet, even the single coils are better than most in terms of noise. Being a guitar made entirely of maple, its really bright sounding with a tight bottom end. Sounds really good clean too. With the 5-way toggle and mid-freq boost on the tone knob this can give you 10 different sound combos. that's a lot more than my 80's kramer baretta that has only a EMG-85 humbucker and single volume.

The minute after I bought the guitar I had it professionally set up with a new set of 10's in the store. It played good the way it was but I wanted it a little better cuz I'm picky and like to give the techs a hard time. They adjusted everything to factory spec, lowered the action to my liking, set the intonation dead-on. Pick-ups were at the right height already. The bridge routing was made for the schaller bridge, it fit like a glove, same for the neck pocket... airtight!! The quality in this guitar is amazing, too bad they discontinued this model.
The finish is gorgeous, there was a slight scratch on the top that's barely noticable, so it doesn't bother me. guitars were meant to be beat up anyway.
The only thing I disliked on the guitar is that you have to remove the neck to make a truss rod adjustment. would be nice if the adjustment screw was at the headstock instead, but once it's set-up you can forget about it. if it wasn't for the truss rod, this would get a ten.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Becuz the bridge is a floating type, i'd pack an extra set of strings just in case I popped one. but with locking tuners; changing a string could take less than a few minutes. If feels solid enuff for a lifetime of gigging. I was surprised that the guitar came with the Schaller strap buttons already on it, since I install these on all my guitars. one word.....COOL !!
The tuners and bridge are made by schaller, and from what I hear they are top quality parts, even fender uses schaller stuff. I can depend on this guitar, but a back up is always sitting behind my amp.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them, hopefully i won't have to........

2 year warranty

I've been playing for over 12 years. this guitar was sitting in the store for a while. I tried several fender american strats and this sounded and looked better than all of them. If I had it stolen I think I'd cry cuz I'll never find the same guitar due to Godin not making this model any more.
I wanted to get away from a floyd rose and find a guitar that had a hot humbucker for rock tunes and single coils for some clean stuff. I wanted it to be easy to change strings, still have a floating bridge, and a good fret job. I'm a fan of burst finishes and when I saw this guitar I knew someday I would own it cuz it had every feature I was looking for. My favorite thing about it is the playability. The bridge feels like it's not even there it's so low profile, the neck fits my hand perfect and feels fast after I had the action lowered. Really comfy to play and the guitar itself is light and won't break my back like the heavy old Kramer Baretta I own. This guitar sells for about $1300 canadian, I got it on clearance for $799. So I'm happy with that. The quality of this guitar blows away some strats in the $2000 range. You can't go wrong with one of these guitars. Don't let the name fool you, this company knows what they are doing.

Sounds great, you can used it for jazz guitar in the p/u's position between single and single. The humbucker sounds crisp .I use it with a vantage 15R amp and MT-2 boss pedal

The finish is excelent, cognac burst colour and I think gloss finish.Though the pick up selector a bit noisy when you change it to the neck position it's like "PlOp"

This beautiful guitar is handmade in Canada. It has 22-frets, One Humbucker and two Single Coil blade-type pickups. It uses Schaller locking machine heads and the deluxe Schaller roller-type bridge for excellent tuning stability. The top of the guitar is figured maple and the body is light maple. It has a birdseye maple bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard has tiny dots which are fret markers and look very tasteful on this guitar. The guitar has one volume, one tone, five-way switch, and the tone knob activates a mid-eq when pulled up. The finish is black-burst. The guitar came with a high-quality Godin Tolex hardshell case with soft thick black lining

Sound : 10
This guitar sounds beautiful. The humbucker really rocks, and the singles are noise free. This guitar provides ten different tone variations with the mid-eq. Lots of sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The actions is this guitars best feature. Whoever set it up at Godin really knows what they're doing. The action is super-smooth and fast. There's not much more I can say. Fit and finish is PERFECT on this guitar. I cannot find even one finish flaw. Beautiful!

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is a very Solid guitar. Since the tuning stability is so good, I'd gig without a backup. You can change a string in seconds thanks to the locking tuners. Godin used the best hardware on this guitar. I'd expect it to hold up.

When I first bought this guitar, it had an intonation problem I called Godin and they gave me an address and told me it would take about two weeks to fix. I sent the guitar in and got it back in less than two weeks fully repaired and set-up with a new set of strings. The people were very helpful and took care of my guitar quickly.

Overall Rating : 9
This guitar is great. My only gripe was the fact that it was defective when I first got it. It had an intonation problem, and I didn't realize it before I bought it. It wasn't just a set-up issue, it was a problem with the bridge angle. Fortunately, Godin fixed it quickly and promptly shipped it back to me. It's been a rock-solid guitar ever since and I don't expect any other problems from it. It's a well made guitar with excellent quality materials.
