This guitar is up there! Beautiful Trans Blue guitar with a figured maple top, two satin-y smooth Godin Tetrad Humbuckers, birdseye maple fretboard, schaller locking tuners. Everything I could want in a guitar for sure.

Sound : 10
I play all kinds of styles of music from jamming around some AC/DC to gentle Paul Brandt love songs. I have a Johnson amp, and this combination of axe and amp is by far the best you could put together. I can go from a crisp country lead to a dirty punk sound in two clicks.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It came very well set-up. I did have it tweaked just a little but even the tech said there wasn't much he could do.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I always treat my guitars like they'll break easy so I have to be careful, but this one has stood up to the test of time and craziness. Considering that I dropped it on it's head the first day, I would call it a durable guitar. You see they come stock with Schaller straplocks, I thought I had some at home, I didn't... BANG!

Customer Support : 7
My only complaint is that I had to wait three months for the thing.

Overall Rating : 10
As far as the guitar is concerned, the rating is sky-high but the company left a bad taste in my mouth because it was promised within 1 month and it basically took four. It is by far the best guitar I've owned though, and I would never go back on buying it.

Made in '96. Made in Canada/U.S.A. Tele style solid maple body w/ beautiful flame maple top. Rock maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with "offset" fret markers. Dual godin tetrad humbuckers with 5-way switch and push/pull knob for a total of 10 different pickup combinations! String through body, Schaller tuners, 25.5" scale, gold hardware, etc. Includes hardshell case

Sound : 10
Let me just say one thing-WOW! I was looking for a Tele at the time and this was just sitting on the shelf. The first thing I noticed about this guitar was the balance. The guitar sits perfectly on your leg with a good weight. The second thing that struck me was the action. The neck was practically 100% flat and the strings were really low. Then I plugged it in. I have never heard such a diverse sounding guitar in my life. It can go from sparkling strat to punchy les paul to biting tele to almost anything you want thanks to the 10 position switch. I play jazz, rock, blues, fusion, classical-a variety of styles. This guitar suits them all. Pickups are super quiet and knobs are smooth with no crackling. Turning down the tone knob with the neck humbucker on yields a nice warm jazzy tone. Everyone can find a sound they like on this instrument.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Bought it used and had it setup. The guys screwed it up a couple of times so Godin e-mailed me the pickup wiring schematic. No problems since. This guitar is flawless as far as the workmanship is concerned.

Reliability/Durability : 9
It's the only guitar that I use currently. seems like something you can't bash around like Stevie Ray does with his strat but looks like it will hold up under normal conditions.

Customer Support : 10
I wrote to Godin a few times. They answered me promptly and faxed me a wiring schematic the day I asked for it. It comes with a 2 year warranty new, but that expired before I owned it. I own a Seagull acoustic though (same company) and never needed the warranty. Still works perfectly (and a great acoustic for the money, by the way)

Overall Rating : 10
The second I picked up this guitar, I fell in love with it. I didn't have the money at the time, so I tried to forget about it and find something cheaper. Nothing could compare, though. Trust me; try one of these babies and you're concept of what a great guitar should be will change. If the price was right, I would buy another, but they're being discontinued. At least I've got one. I've owned it for a year and still have no regrets.

Godin's tribute to Fender's Tele. Cognac Burst qith quilted maple top. Two Godin Tetrad combos. 5 way switch. Volume and Tone control. Tone pulls out to split the coils. Bought new in '99. According to the serial number it was made in '97. Gold hardware. Rosewood bridge. Birdseye maple neck. Binding around the headstock.
Godin hardhsell "French-fitted" case.

Sound : 10
I Play blues to hard rock with the occasional "rocked-up" country. Does everything I need with the assistance from my Fender Deville 4x10 (what an amp!!). I also play through a Hot Rod Deluxe. I use several Boxx pedals on occasion (chorus, flanger, EQ, dig. delay in a BCB-6 with power supply) Ibanez Tubescreamer and Morley Wah.
Very rich and thick sound. The guitar sings. Pickups are VERY quiet and VERY hot. A band mate remarks quite often that it's got the bark of a Les Paul and can offer similar strat and tele sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Everything was absolutely perfect. No complaints whatsoever. Action is very low and easy to play.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've sold my backup guitars. Enough said.
The gold plating wears and of course, pick scratches are a normal occurence.

E-mail response was 2 days on one question and no response on another. My only negative. 50/50 so a 5 here.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 19 years and have gone through a lot of guitars....Ibanez, Kramer, Gibson, Fender, Yamaha and on and on. This guitar is a keeper and will be a family heirloom! This is the nicest playing, sounding and looking guitar I've ever had the pleasure of laying hands on and I am tickled pink to own it. My last guitar, a Fender Strat Eric Clapton Signature rates a distant 6 in comparison.
It's too bad Godin have discontinued this model.. I'm looking for an ST Signature to add to my collection.
There's a little "God" in these guitars! If lost, stolen etc.. I'd hunt the perpetrator down and vengeance would be severe! There's no doubt in my mind that I'd buy another... and I will.!! An ST Signature
