Gloss finish, laminate mahogany sides, top and back. Solid mahogany neck, maple soundwell. Maple bridge with ebony cap, bone nut. USA made Beard cone and spider bridge. Grover replica tuners with chrome finish knobs (some ship with pearloid knobs).

Perfect for flatpicking gospel/bluegrass tunes. Has some growl when you dig in on bluesy tunes. Not a slide player, so I can't rate it on that. Great tone, sustains forever, especially on upper strings.

Best import resonator I've ever seen. Setup is done by Beard when guitars hit the US. And Tony's crew at Pick and Slide Music goes over it again before they ship. Arrived with best setup I've ever gotten out of the box. Finish is excellent. It's a deep burgundy sunburst finish that's really beautiful. Smooth all over. There are a couple of dips, and other small imperfections in the wood. But again, it's the most attractive import resonator I've ever seen.

Seems to be built like a tank, but I just got it, and I don't play outside the home, so I can't really say how it would stand up under gig conditions. But it is built well.

Dollar for dollar this is the best import resonator I've ever come across. If it were lost or stolen I would get another in a heartbeat.
