Guitar was made in China and this one was setup at the Beard factory (you can verify this on an instrument by looking in the upper sound screen.
The guitar was setup very well, finish was very good and there was no flaws.

I think this guitar is made well enough to withstand a long time playing.
The tuner buttons could be a little better, I'll probably replace mine.

My other resonator is a Wechter/Scheerhorn and this one has a little more of the traditional dobro sound, the Wechter is a little more "full"
Still the Goldtone is very bright and a little more of the metallic/dobro whine. I like the sound

Guitar was setup at the Beard shop so was setup very well. The spider/cone screw had come a little loose in shipment so there was a noticeable rattle when I first took it out of the box but I was able to adjust that well.

I think this guitar would sound fine miked or with a pickup. Finish is okay, not as good as the Wechter but still okay. Strap buttons fine.

I've been playing for 35+ years, own tons of gear and recently started playing dobro. I'd replace this guitar if it was stolen but probably with the higher-end Beard "E" resonator or maybe with the Goldtone solid mahogany - haven't tried one of those yet.
