Right; I've had this for a couple of years and its been gigged a lot. I don't wax lyrical about all my guitars this way (though I love them all), but - YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY ONE OF THESE GRAFS. There is no question, it is the most playable guitar I have ever played, PLUS with the p/up configuration it has just about every rock/blues/pop/country sound available.
I cannot understand why these guitars - along with other GS models - aren't seen in the hands of more pros.
Don't miss out - give them a try, they are incredible.

21-fret maple neck/board; nice stripey flamed laminated top; GS single coil neck p/up; GS coil tappable humbucker at bridge. 1 volume, 1 Tone. GS one-peice adjustable brodge (great). Very nice design headstock - small and neat. Nice weight and very comfortable playing position. Looks a bit different and cool, actually (wish I did).

I play mainly 70s-80s-90s rock/blues, using an early 70s Aria 'Les Paul' and a Gordon Smith Graduate, played through an Ashdown Peacemaker 60w valve combo (I like it). I wanted a Tele-style guitar for some numbers, and this Graf is excellent. It's a very bright-sounding guitar, even in humbucking mode; could be the p/up winding I guess (it's brighter than my GS Graduate). Unlike almost every other s/coil neck p/up I've ever tried, this one sounds superb; brilliant clean - shimmering and bright but with grunt - and nice and fruity when overdriven too. Great p/up.
The Graf gives me the vesatility I was after, at a much lower outlay than a Fender Tele (especially thanks to a great deal from a mate!).
Only thing I miss is separate vol/tone for each p/up, but that's only because I'm used to that on my other guitars.

Beautifully set up (by my mate who had it before). A couple of cosmetic flaws - shipping dents, really - but I've never worried at all about stuff like that (Pete Townsend said, "I don't polish guitars and put them in glass cases - I PLAY the f***ing things!"). But the laminated top is fantastic-looking, adding a classy and different look to a good guitar.
The neck is very chunky, but very comfortable too, allowing you to really grip the thing and dig in when you want to.
Typical Gordon Smith - solid, comfortable, low action and great playability. GS never compromise on the things that really matter.

I haven't had the thing long, but I know it's history and I know GS guitars - they are great guitars but robust workhorses, far better than they have a right to be for the money!

Previous contact with GS has been good; quick, friendly and helpful replies to e-mails. I believe they will do whatever you ask for guitar-wise and pride themselves on customer satisfaction and the personal touch. Great company, their instruments deserve more respect from professionals.

Playing for 30 years (wish I was better after all that time), and have owned a range of gear (but since 1980 mainly stuck with my favourite 70s Aria Les Paul because it is an awesome guitar). The Graf is a style of guitar I've played many times and always fancied, but never owned. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to get this Graf before shelling out on a Fender Tele. Like all GS guitars, the Graf has all the features of an "original" American standard classic design, PLUS extra features that you won't get with Fender/Gibson.
Get a Gordon Smith, and you'll wonder why you waited so long.

I have an metallic emerald green Graff with a thin maple one piece neck, with a most beautiful maple binded body, one single coil, one tapped humbucker and a single coil trap and Gordon Smith machine heads. Handbuilt in Manchester, the Graff is definetly a labour of love.

I play all sorts Rock/Punk/Blues/Jazz. The graff definetly rocks and rocks hard! The one piece maple neck definetly produces a disdinctive treble end tone, the Graff produces clean sustained sparky tones.

The setup was perfect from the factory no extra adjustment was required! as I said it was a labour of love.

I believe that this is the best playable and most reliable guitar on the market, strap buttons and tuning pegs are solid, the gloss finish fees as if it will last a life time.

I been playing about 10 years, I don't own any other guitars, my Graff is all I need I would feel I was cheating on my Graff if I bought another guitar. This is the ultimate guitar and it is highly reconmended. It has been tried and tested time and time again, I dont believe that any Gibson can beat may Graff

This guitar was hand built in Manchester England. It has on single coil, one humber with a coil tap. Satin finish in metallic blue with a thin maple neck with a rose woood finger board.
The brige is fixed and it has gordon smith machine heads
The body style is tele/strat/prs/les paul with a strat head stock and an ibanez style neck........totally origional!

I play all kinds of music from blues to funk through to punk and emo-hardcore. This guitar kicks the a%%se out of my 72 Les Paul gold top and plays better than any PRS I have ever touched in my life at the same time weighing less than my US telecaster.
The variety of sound is totally unreal. I actually sold my line 6 pod to buy this guitar so I am now going straight into a battered early ninetys 80att valve state. The clean sound is anngelic and the distortion is satanic yet you can still pick out every note. I am guessing the pickups are stock Gordon Smith. They have almost no noise at all. A work of art

I bought this guitarsecond hand and have no idea really of its age or history. It is missing a fret marker, it looks like it has fallen out.The guitar has no real flaws apart from this. It has a beatiful maple binding too.
the set up is ok but i am going to get a pro one done asap

I always have a back up inccase I break as string and to be honest I bought this guitar as a back up! I will however be using it as much as possible. It has a bolt on neck at it feels solid enough to double as a cricket bat.
Strap buuttons look like they came off an oil rig. this thing was built to last!

I cannot compare this guitar surfice to say go out and sell one of your US guitars and buy three Gordon Smiths.I am a believer. I have only been playing for eight years but have owned almost every common type of guitar and the only ones I have kept and would never sell are a natural wood maple neck US tele (1999/2000) and a Gibson US les Paul Golp- Top (1972)and now my Gordon Smith. Buy one anyone the have it all. Buy a Graf if you can find one. this is the only one I have ever seen!
