Your basic classical guitar. Sides and back look like they might be birch. Probably some Swedish wood. I understand they grow trees over there. ;^)
This was my first playable guitar. I got it used in 1963 for $100 at Manny's Music in NYC. I played it for 10 years until I got my Martin. I still don't own another classical. The finish is most amazingly crackled. The intonation ain't what it could be. I've replaced the tuners.
It sits on a stand in my living room and it's the first one I pick up to figure something out on.

This is a nice sounding guitar. I sometimes think about putting on a new fingerboard to correct the intonation, but putting in several hundred bucks on this guitar would be silly. It's only me who hears it anyway. If I play out, I use another guitar. Sounds nice in DADGAD tuning.

This thing was made before ZIP codes. It's been beat on, hitchhiked with, eaten off of, you name it. It's entitled to some wear. But I think it was pretty well made. It's never been reglued anywhere. The action is fine for a classical. The finish, as mentioned before, is a work of crackle art. I used to be able to get gold-colored strings, which really dress it up.

This guitar was my pal for thirty years. It's not all that good, but it's in decent shape and sounds okay. It holds a lot of memories. I've written some good songs on it. I'd miss it if it got destroyed or stolen; it could never be replaced.

Made, according to list on internet, in 1942. 18 ffret classic style with solid spruce top, solid flamed maple sides and back. Acoustic. Neck mahogany with a 1/4" white wood (?) spline in the center of neck. Ivory bridge and nut. Rosewood fingerboard. Finish is gloss lacquer. Tuners are sloppy, no brand marking.

This guitar has more bass than I expected. It sounds wonderful.

Has withstood at least 30 dry Alaskan winters with resultant crazing of lacquer. Wood is still in good shape. No cracks. The top has developed a little warp from string tension.
