Korean made for Martin in the early '80s before Sigma. Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides as well as fretboard, 20 fret. Mahogany neck. Gold colored Grover tuners.

I have a CF Mountain D28/35 wannabe which has better bass and more "twange" with same type strings (Elixirs 12s). Both Rosewood back and sides; must be the top hasn't aged. The CF Mountain is probably 10 years older. It reminds me more of how new Martins sound versus vintage.

Action is good, no buzz or rattles. Some bridge and fret wear, which to me means it's been played a lot (that's good and bad). Has a couple of nicks though but really pretty inlays and trim. Headstock has just inlays in it, no name but is clearly marked inside the sound holes as a Goya G-335S CF Martin Company Nazareth, PA 10864 Made in Korea along with serial number. It's also stamped on the center brace to use Only use medium or light strings.

I just got the guitar, but it seems to be pretty sturdy and straight like any other d-28/d-35.

No Opinion
Again, new to me so haven't needed any work but I know Martin is very good about working pretty much anything; as is Taylor.

I've been playing guitar for 30 years; own six acoustics, four electrics, a Martin Mandolin, Gibson banjo, several saxes. First love was an Ovation 1112. Martin makes some good stuff but always a little pricey.

I have had a Martin/Goya 335-S for over a year now, I bought it on e-bay, it is a beautiful guitar. Until now I was unable to get any info about this model, today I found a newly posted website by jeaniewnc6@aol.com... the wests.. they have the 335-s and other guitars for sale, also some great pictures and info....
I love my goya, it is the easiest guitar to play I have ever found! I have replaced the bridge pins(with ebony pins)and the pic guard with a clear tortiese type, similar to the hd-28 pic guard..
Its hard to tell it from an hd-28, lol... If you find one of these guitars, buy it! you wont regret it..thanks...

this guitar sounds beautiful, it has a deep rich bass that is unbeliveable.... the action is flawless, I can play for hours with no finger pain, and I am no pro!

the finish has stood the test of time, built in the 80s, it is at least 25+ years old. there a no signs of bad craftmanship... the wood has changed color, it is at least 3 or 4 shades darker than it was originally, I know this because under the pic guard I replaced the color was unchanged...
proper bookmatched top, flawless,,
I have found no bad mojo with this guitar!!!perfect..

This is a 1992 made in Korea Martin guitar. its amoung the last made under the Goya name [the're all Sigmas Now] It's basically a Martin D-35 with hand laid [ it looks it, anyway ] inlay on the neck and NO name on the headstock [ which looks like a Martin D-35]. Spruce top [very well made] mahogany back, neck and sides. High Gloss finish. Gold finish Grover tuners [orig.] lots of plastic small parts though.
The paper in the soundhole says GOYA made by the C.F. Martin Co. in Korea.

Sounds like a better Martin. OK, it dosent sound like a D-35 but it sounds as good or better than the new DXs, D-15s and D16s. IT DOES SOUND LIKE A MARTIN, lots of big bassy chords. Fast neck and it finger picks quite well too. No effects --just acoustic.

Very well made import. Better than most new imports. Better than the Sigmas i've played [our school owns a good Sigma "D" model but this one will blow it away] Its the top of the line[g-335] it think. There is a G-340 model but i can't find a pix. of it. Its made on the D-35 frame. Same size and shape. Great Spruce top. Real old spruce -looks like. Very well made. No flaws [ other than a little wear] VERY SOLID.

Ive only owned it about a month. its a 1992 [this is 2004] and its seems as solid and loud as it could have in '92. I would take it to any bluegrass show or jam we play. [esp. outside] It looks almost new. but really broken in to play.

Goya is gone.. the Martin Goya Com;any is gone, I dont know if Martin in Nazereth will fix it. My dealings with the Martin CO.[ i have another martin guitar] have be execllent! And they are a class act. if it needs repaired ill call them first. but GOYA is long gone twice

Ive been playing for 30 years. I own 4 guitars [guild/martin/Goya-martin/alverez-yari] 2 banjos, 2 mandolins, misc. stuff.
I didnt know anything about the GOYA martins. They seem great but why compete with your OWN Sigma line? It seems to be a rare find. a copy [almost exact] of a top level Martin guitar [D-35] ACTUALLY made by the Martin co.- weird!!! But a Great guitar by any standars. it really thunders like the old martins. I would gladly buy another tomorrow at the same [or lower ] price.
