I'm not sure when this guitar was manufactured. It has a serial number: 4230001. I bought it in 1975 in Ottawa Canada for $200.00 CA. The guitar was made in Sweden for Goya Music, New York. This is a classic Levin built Goya. Sunburst high gloss lacquer finish. Mahogany neck, rosewood bridge. The body is spruce. It has individually adjustable bridge inserts. Standard jumbo size accoustic guitar (20 frets). I has the typical Levin shield on the head stock except that it says Goya instead of Levin. The guitar is still in near immaculate condition.

The action is a bit stiff for my style of playing. I've always meant to take in and have it set up better but never got around to it. The sound is very mellow. What you'd expect from a well built guitar.

Action stiff. Was not badly set up but I think it sat around in the store window too long. This a well constructed instrument, typical of the quality that Levin put into their guitars. Everything fits together well. Thirty years after I bought it, it still looks great. I think if the guitar was set up again it would compare with any guitar anywhere.

I've been playing guitar since 1963. I got this guitar because I already had a Levin acoustic. Although this guitar is not quite as good as the Levin it's still a great guitar. If it was stolen or lost I'd be pretty sad because I doubt that I could find another like it.
