Made in Sweden in 1970.
Catalog price in 1970 was the same as a Gibson Hummingbird that year.
Solid alp-spruce top with dark mahogany sides and back.
Neck made of mahogany also.
Original tuners are tight!
Beautiful inlaid headstock and rectangular inlaid neck.
Extremely well-crafted and solid guitar

Sound : 10
HUGE sound. Loud and bright.
Bass is a bit thin, but nothing compares to treble-register notes on this guitar.
This guitar is for loud pickers, not syrupy singer-songwriter types!
NO guitar can compete for volume!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Neck plays like a dream.
Tuners are very stiff due to age.
Has unique string height adjusting screws, not sure what advantage that brings.
Action is great on this guitar and neck holds in place well.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I will be dead long before this guitar!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Goya was bought out by Martin and turned into a cheap-line of guitars made in Korea. (Thus no resale!)
Any Goya made after 1972 and NOT made in Sweden is junk!

Overall Rating : 10
One of the best built guitars you can own.
If you find a "made in sweden" Goya acoustic in good shape - get it!
You will never find a better guitar for the money

Swedish made large dreadnought steel sting. Made in 1973 or 74. Distributed by Little dude of Kansas. Solid spruce top, Maple body,Mahogany neck with a ebony finger board. Ajustible saddles.

Sound : 10
Great woody acoustic sound. I use this guitar any time I want to play unamplified. This guitars sound will hold up to J45 or a Guild any day . I love the sound but the guitar is big and a little uncomfortible after a long session, but I usually sit down.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Bought guitar used in the mid 70's. Action is a little high but I like it like that.

Reliability/Durability : 9
A well made guitar that rarely sees a case. It has been played moderatly by me for 30 years . It has broke a brace or 2 and a couple of small cracks were sealed years ago, but in general it is a amazing guitar.

I've been playing over 40 years and I play more now than ever. I have a couple Ovations and a couple Seagulls right now but I have had more guitars than one person has a right to. If it were stolen I doubt I could replace it. I know it would cost me a lot of money to buy a new similar quality guitar.
