I just bought some for the Les Paul style...I have an ephipone.
year 2000...

Sound : 10
Firstly the sound is a bit fatter and that suits me as I have a JCM 900 which is on the tinny side...I like good rock sound hence my guitar and amp set up.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
fitting was dead easy and scoring the saddle was really easy.
I'll admit my guitar as I said isn't a real Les Paul but lets put it this was it's bloody good and due to my saddles being knackered and strings breaking due to sharp saddles it sounded great before hand.
I could have gone out and bought a new bridge set up or sanded down the saddles in the first place but I believe in change and I'll soon find out if I have waisted my money.

Man just put some instructions in there no matter what...it's benifical for beginners and gives you a piece of mind on the product you have just purchased!

Like I said so far very happy and it's only been two days, I jam with my band tonight so I'll find out what the over all answer is...I'll let you know.
They need to be posted on the web site due to the only ones being Tele...not Les Paul being available.

These are saddle barrel replacements for the traditional Tele 3-saddle bridge. They come with all adjustment screws and springs. The "IOS" stands for Increased Oscillation and Sustain. They are intonation-compensated and employ the Graph Tech self-lubricating technology to prolong string life and reduce breakage. Here's the link for all the lowdown: http://www.graphtech.ca/product_display.asp?SearchType=brand&brand=StringSaver. Saddle height is adjusted by means of a hex screw at each end of the barrel, the 1/16" hex wrench is included. My gripe is that no instructions are included (!) and it is suggested that a professional install the saddles. Oh, come on! They can only go on one way, so I just looked at the way my current Tele 6-saddle bridge barrels were oriented and installed them accordingly. I'm giving a 7 here due to the lack of instructions.

I have a homebuilt Tele with a solid hard rock maple body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Fender Texas Special pickups. I had the traditional-style bridge with 6 adjustable saddles and an ashtray cover. These are poorly designed saddles, The strings do not exert tension across the middle of the barrel as the string groove is off- center. This results in various problems which I won't go into here. I installed a new traditional 3-barrel bridge plate (StewMac) and replaced the new saddles with the Graph Techs. Holy Cow! The sustain increase was immediately apparent. Graph Tech claims and increase in sustain of 25%, I don't doubt it. Intonation compensation is good, as good as I ususally settle for with fully adjustable saddles (within 3-5 cents).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
These are intelligently designed and well made. The extra sustain comes from a relief in the saddle right at the string break. Having 2 strings per saddle puts extra tension on the bridge relative to the 6-saddle design. I haven't used them long enough to comment on string breakage, but I don't really care, the extra sustain makes them well worth the price. Simple to install (please include instructions anyway!)

Too soon to tell.

Here's the kicker- after I installed these and played for awhile, I noticed I was getting fret-out if I was bending the first or second strings up around the 16th or 17th fret. What the heck...? Couldn't figure out the problem; neck relief, action both same as before. Same strings. Then it occured to me: "Increased Oscillation...". The strings were vibrating so much more that it made the uneven frets apparent for the first time. So I had to do a fret leveling. Anyway, there you have it, objective evidence that these actually do what they're supposed to. If you have a traditional style bridge with the round saddles, you may want to give these a try, the increased sustain is great. Just don't be surprised if you need a leveling...
