A small neck. Strings. Cheap wood.
Just your standard low-grade guitar. Very generic, really.

Sound : 3
The sound of the Gremmlin is that of a toy. It's not an especially serious sound. The strings can indeed produce a buzz (but it's not really meant for picking or heavy playing anyway) and it never really fills out very evenly.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 3
The action is low and the finish is okay.
The wood, however, is almost a complete joke.
Even the fretboard's looks suggest it was never meant to be taken seriously.
Another problem is the bridge, which wasn't manufactured properly to accound for even intonation.

Reliability/Durability : 6
My Gremlin looks to have taken a lifetime of misuse. The head and the tuners don't look very reliable, but, in tandem with the guitar's overall quality, it's nothing surprising.
It looks like it could be mistreated for some time to come.
For better or worse, it seems sturdy, even if the overall quality isn't very good.

Customer Support : 1
I don't know how you'd get ahold of customer support and, for what these are worth, I don't know how much either party should care.

I've been playing for a few years and have owned a couple acoustics and a couple electrics of dependable quality. My Martin and Seagull are my main squeeze for serious acoustic playing so this guitar was, for the longest time, a running gag amongst my friends and I.
After taking it out to the woods (I justwanted to screw with a cheap instrument and relax), I became increasingly attached to it.
For all it's failures, it has a real endearing quality to it.
I actually intend to use it on future recordings (not as a primary guitar, but as an aesthetic supplement). Being so small and easy to tote around, it'll work well for field recordings, and it's intonation issues give an interesting flavor to any composition; it really adds an organic touch to things when recorded on an analog tape.

If I could find another for cheap, I'd definately get it.

It has 19 frets, laminated top. It's a tiny little student guitar.

Very disturbing sound. Goes off tune every 15 minutes. Too many buzzes.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
Bad set-up. String way too high. Your hands hurt by the time you bring the strings down to the fretboard.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Onething I like is that it's very durable. Good solid finish. This thing won't break if you slam it to the floor. Definitely would not use it anywhere outside my house.

What customer support?

Overall Rating : 2
If you are looking for a guitar, this is not it. This is a piece of trash that even beginners could not use.
