Sunburst Finish 12 string mfg date May 1967. Very thin hollowbody, with dual f holes. Has the zero fret at the top of the fretboard. Mother of pearl triangle inlays on the fretboard. Chrome hardware, includes 3 knobs and 3 switches. Dual Filter'tron pickups. Rosewood bridge and chrome Gretsch logoed tailpiece. Original Case is a bit beat up on the outside, but the only real wear and tear on the inside is the bit of cloth that keeps the lid from opening past a 90 degree angle.

Great guitar for jazz. Used with a Fender Twin Reverb circa 1972, sound can be a bit too bright with the wrong strings. Best to experiment a bit until you find the proper set. Quite enjoyable sound overall and a real pleasure to play.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Put together like a tank, 35 years old and everything looks like new.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Time will tell but, I'd say after 35 years it's probably gonna out last me. Very dependable workhorse.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I'm afraid it's out of warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
One of 4 guitars I currently own. This one gets the lions share of playing. I'd certainly buy another should I run into one. So far this is the only one I've ever seen. Mainly purchased it because I've always wanted an electric 12 string.

This is a classic guitar. Made back when
guitars were made right. This 1967,Gretsch
6075-12 has the standard array of chrome
knobs and swithes found on models such as
the Country Gentleman, Tennessean etc. This
hollowbody electric has two chrome pickups.
The Supertrons, with the six laminated pole
sections. The bridge is a rosewood bridge
base and a rosewood top saddle that has 12
grooves of descending size cut into it
from bass to treble string. The tailpiece
is a standard 12 string chrome with the G
cutout. The tuners are the standard inline
six string,on a base plate, with the bottoms
of the tuners exposed. The body has a
beautiful tobacco sunburst finish. All border
areas including the cutout sound holes have
white binding. The fret markers, are unusual
triangles, that cover only half of the width
of the fingerboard. Mint original hardshell
case included. This guitar was made in june
of 1967, which might make it a collectors item
of sorts. June of 1967, was the first
month that MADE IN USA was stamped on the
back of the headstock next to the serial
numbers.

The sound is kind of like a new Rickenbacker
360-12 meets a Gretsch Nashville or something
like that, I mean it sounds great but it can
feel awkward at times. Like many hollowbodys
it has a back that sticks out a little, which
helps a lot?(I think they could have added
a back pad.) The sound is kind of like the
Monkees-rock group/actors music. Especially
the 12-string sounds of, Mike Nesmith on
their Headquarter album/cd. The sound can be
a little too bassy, or too trebly. Some of
the lower strings seem a tiny bit muddy.
Like I said an ok sounding guitar just awkward.
But, then again I am hard to please.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The nut and tuning pegs were a little suspect
but not really bad. The chrome tailpiece had
a bit of the halo effect, near the string
holders, but nothing really bad for a 33 year
old guitar. The action was ok and fret-feel
was great.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This is in phenominal shape for a 33 year
old guitar. Everthing is fine except for
the halo effect on the tailpiece and the
tuners are only slightly stiff. I would
and have used this guitar on gigs.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I don't know. I have never dealt
with the Gretsch co. I don't
think it is under warranty after
33 years.

I have played guitar for many
years. I have only,two amps
presently. A Fender champ and
a small off brand amp. It might
be a Harmony amp. I wish this
guitar had a padded back.
