I purchased my Don Grosh bent top in may from the music center in palmdale, ca. It is 100% american made. It has 22 of the most perfectly rounded and feeling frets. It is set up with a master volume, master tone, and a blend control. The blend control will gradually blend in either the bridge or neck pickup depending upon the position of the 5 way switch. It has a S/S/H configuration with two lindy fralin singles and a specially wound dimarzio in the bridge. The body is made of basswood with a beatiful blue quilted maple top. the neck is a maple w/ rosewood fretboard with a 10" radius and a 1 5/8 width neck. It is a strat style guitar with a gotoh vintage strat bridge that does not go out of tune, and also locking kluson machine heads that make changing strings a breeze. it is a 25 1/2 scale with medium jumbo frets and a medium round neck. It came with a form fitted hardshell case.

Sound : 10
The sound of this guitar is just amazing. With the kind of music i play it ranges from light heavy metal to really clean eric johnson style, the guitar just sounds right with any kind of music. My rig that I am using right now is a fulltone fulldrive 2/ the ultimate octive/ and the clyde wah, along with an ernie ball volume pedal, a ibanez echomachine, and a tc electronics chorus feeding a '65 reissue twin, and an a/b box that splits the other side to a dry 5150 combo. The grosh is the most versatile guitar that I have ever laid my hands on. The guitar is extremly quiet only issuing a 60 cycle hum on the singles by themselves. On all pickups it is a very rich and full sonding guitar with a very articulate tone. It is very easy to change the sound just with picking dynamics. There is not a thing to dislike about this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The grosh was so well set up at the factory by don that i have yet to make any adjustments to the action, bridge, or neck. This is the olny guitar i have that has gone this long without needing to be set up. The pickups were so well adjusted as well that I have yet to touch them. There is not a flaw with the workmanship, wood quality, or setup on the guitar. It is perfect.

Reliability/Durability : 10
In the couple months I have had the guitar I have giged quite regularily with my band and it has shown no wear on the frets, hardware or finish. It is very durable. I have play 4 gigs where I did not even bother to bring a backup guitar. It is that reliable.

Customer Support : 10
Dealing with don grosh is a breeze. I talked to him personally when he was building my guitar and he never hesitated to answer any or all of my questions(and they were quite a few) when ever i called him. So far they are the most cordial staff of any company I have ever dealt with. If I ever have a problem I have complete faith tha don will be there to help any way he can.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 7 years and I own 17 othe guitars ranging from custom shop strats, gibssons, schecters, ibanez, ernie ball music man, vintage strats, parker, an anderson. And in all of my experience there is not a guitar around that even come close to the palyability or feel or tone of the grosh. It is simply the best guitars that are made today. If it were stolen I would buy anothe in a heartbeat. In fact I am just getting ready to purchase another one.
