Features : No Opinion
Satin finish dreadnaught 14 fret made in Westerly R.I. I think its a 1992 solid sitka top with mohagany back and sides very plain but thats ok with me. Traded a resonator and cash for it. I'm into it about $600.00

Sound : 10
Killer tone lots of bass but ringing mids and dare I say shimmering highs, its got a pretty complex voice but not too busy its very loud with medium strings, different than a Martin or Gibson but that's not a bad thing just different and thats one of the reasons I bought it, strums really well but will handle leads as well. I think its brighter than my J-45

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
I bought it used and it was set up just like I wanted it not real low but it still plays easy. Its been played a lot and there is a pretty good size spot behind the pickguard where it was worn into the wood but it has been sanded a little and some finish brushed and smoothed but its still very noticeable but I don't care. This guitar has had the first 5 frets replaced like I said its been played. The satin finish is shiny where the players arm rested on the lower bout . I'll give it a 7 because of the finish wear on the front. Playability is great

Reliability/Durability : 9
This box will probably out live me hey its a Guild and they are rock solid, the hardware is good although the finish will probably eventually be gone in places cause its pretty thin but I don't care. It will stand up to hard gigging and I think its pretty dependable. I would't go anywhere without a backup in fact this guitar would be my backup to my D-28 or J-45

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with Guild so I don't know

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing most of my adult life sometimes seriously sometimes not. I have two Martins D-28 and D-1R, two Gibsons the aforementioned J-45 and a seventies J-40 and this Guild will hold its own with anyone of them. I was never a real Guild fan till I played this one, I think its the best sounding Guild acoustic I have ever played and if it was lost or stolen I would try to get another one but not one of the California ones.
