Built around 1977 by Gurian workshops, USA. Steelstring flattop acoustic; extremely rare Maple cutaway model; I only know of one more finding its way to Europe. Finest bookmatched Spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, slim D-profile mahogany neck and binding. Ebony fingerboard, no inlay. Gold plated Schaller tuners. Fine Herringbone purfling, soundhole decoration and back midstrip. Sly looking instrument at first glance, but look at the details!
No pickup installed at time of purchase; had it retrofitted with McIntyre 400 pickup several years ago. Somewhat thick PU high gloss finish prone to cracking is my only complaint.
Sound

Extremely clear, bright, and transparent sound, not very loud though due to rather shallow body and D'Addario extra lights. Original sound with strong trebles has considerably balanced and mellowed through age. I have been playing jazzy ragtime fingerstyle for 25 years and never felt in need of another instrument (tried many but none to outperform the Gurian).
Action, Fit, & Finish

Setup was a delight from the start but needed neck resetting and some fretwork 10 years ago. Slim neck suits my short fingers well. Flawless handmade guitar, superb finish.

I am confident it will stand another 50 years of playing and still getting better, if treated with proper care.
Customer Support

No Opinion
Guaranteed for life to the original owner (which I am not). Shipping overseas would be awkward anyway - I wouldn't dare to as there is no chance of replacing it.

Have been playing it for 25 years and love it to death.
