This one is a sunburst strat copy, fake perloid pickguard. It is black in the contours, this hides the uglyset part of the wood. Cheap sunbursts are done like this. Three single coils (i later outed it out for a humbucker in the bridge). Controls like a Strat. Real nice bridge, one of the better ones i have seen.
I'm a lefty, and the guitar is right handed, so i did the Hendrix thing to it, strung it upside down

This is a very versitle sounding guitar, it does sound a little thin, but the aftermarket humbucker i put in fixed it up good. I can't say what kind i put in it because this guitar is my drinking/party guitar, and has been rebuilt many times.

This guitar had neck and fret problems since i got it new, on sale. Thats why it was on sale, but it is managable. I guess it was a bad apple, but i got it working for a few extra dollars. Everything was lined up and fit right when i got it, but since i broke the body into 3 pieces, and glued it back together, it's not as perfect now. But it still sounds great!! I'm giving it a 6 in this category because of the neck problems.

It has been to camp fires, beach parties, meted pickups, met a few drum kits and anything else you could imagine. and it still works, the body was even easy to reglue back together!!!!!! This honestly is a very reliable guitar. And i do mean it.

I have been playing for about 7 years now, nothing too serious though.
i have the folowing guitars:
1998 Squier strat, lake placid blue (lefty)
homemade strat copy (stumac parts, except for the body. (lefty))
slammer DA-3/SB strat copy
and other various ones, but those three are on a steady rotation.
Main Amps
Peavey Auidition 110, and a stage 15 watt 8" bass amp
any other amp i can get my hands on
Pedals:
Boss CE-5 Chourse Ensamble
DOD Grunge
Ibanez tubescreamer TS-9 i think (the black ones that look like a beatle)
An old Crybaby Wah.
a Zoom 505 when i solder the board back together
I bought it so i wouldn't ruin my other two babies, but it grew into me and is now played more than the strat itself, it needs another fret job though. And the best part was that it cost me less than half the price of my other two favorites.

Nice to the best of my knowladge. Tone and 2 vol. switches, 21 frets, and a 5 way selector as well. Cut-away strat kinda construction and sunburst (at least on mine) finish. I got a carry case with it too...and so far everything works fine, I've had it for about 5 months.

Sounds ok. I think at times it goes on the "twangy" side though. Could be fixed with good FX peddles though. I think it'pretty good on sound and can get a wide range of different kinds. Sounds more on hte brighter side, but I'm sure some really good distortion could fix that right up.

This is my first guitar and I have to admit that I really love it. Wouldnt trade it. I compared it to some other ones..but for the price I got this one for...those were about the same quality and way more expencive.
It comes in tons of colors and models and all that...which is good. The pickups could be a little better but anyone can fix that and for what you dish out you get a lot more in return. This guitar is great deal and it'll stay with you for long time.
