Handmade in Korea, PRS style shape, with dual humbuckers. Rotary pickup switching. Fixed tune-o-matic bridge. This is a 2001 model, and from talking to John Dillion only a handful of these were made, which appears to be the case for a lot of the dillion guitars.
Pearl and Abalone inlay the full length of the 24Fret neck. Abalone binding and Black Hardware. This guitar is a work of Art!!!!!!

I wanted a fixed bridge guitar for those times when I didn't want to have the Floyd Rose warbling while I hit the strings, so I had always wanted a Les Paul. I love the depth of sound the Les paul has. I read some reviews on the Dillions so I decided what the hell I might as well get one.
What a choice? the sound is amazing. You get the Les Paul warmth in a PRS body shape, without the backbreaking weight of either of those. This is still a relatively heavy guitar compared with what I am used to but its very comfortable.
The pickups are very hot and seem to have characteristics very similar to Seymour Duncans, which is always a good thing. The bridge pickup screams, and the neck is beautifully warm sounding. No need for an upgrade here at all.
I have more versatile guitars for getting more sounds from one guitar, but this one fit the Les Paul fixed bridge Guitar requirement I wanted perfectly.

The finish on this guitar is excellent. The serpent inlay is unbelievable. I did buy this guitar based on looks from a photo on the dillion website, and it looks even better in the flesh so to speak. Its has a very smooth high gloss finish, and the quality of the finish is very high. In my opinion better than the latest Gibsons.
The neck is very smooth and the gloss finish is not at all sticky if you know what I mean. I like a nice smooth neck and have found so far Hamer USA guitars to have the best necks in terms of smoothness finish and comfort, but this one is right up there and at a much lower price
Reliability/Durability
:
No Opinion
Not had it long enought to comment yet on durability, but time will tell, it looks to be built solidly enough

I wanted this guitar secifically because of the serpant inlay, the abalone binding and the black hardware. I emailed Dillion guitars to find out where I could get one and John Dillion himself sent the reply and got me right in touch with a dealer who had one, so so far service has been pretty damn good

I have been playing for 17 years, and own a Hamer USA diablo, A Jackson Roswell Rhoads, a schecter A7+7 seven string, and various other guitars and Basses. I play guitar through either a Behringer V-Amp for recording, and a Crate Blue Voodoo.
I love this guitar for its uniqueness. It is a fabulous work of art, that plays like a $2000+ dollar guitar. I would most certainly buy one again. and will probably buy more Dillion guitars in future based on my experience with this one.
It fit my needs better than expected, and if it was lost/stolen I would mourn for years, and desperatly try to get another one exactly the same.
