My Hanika 54PF-HG was made in 2002. Hanika is a German guitar builder.
It's a classical concert guitar with a solid spruce top and indian rosewood sides and back; rosewood barred cedro neck; rosewood headstock, bridge and fingerboard. The HG stands for a high-end high gloss finish. High grade gold-tone engraved Rubner mechanics.
The roset is made from mahogany and is rather simple: I like it that way, but if you're in for barocquish spanish complicated (overdone) rosets this isn't for you.

This classical guitar sounds fantastic!! I have compared it to several other classical guitars in the same price range and this is where this guitar clearly stands out: the sound in incredible...
I even tried guitars which cost 3x as much...with poorer sound quality.
Action, Fit, & Finish

In the beginning I had to get used to the slightly higher action as compared to my first guitar (Rodriguez Model A), but now I cannot give but positive comments.
The finish is very good!

Whaw !!! They are so responsive!
When I have a technical question I receive an answer within 24 hours: they launched a Hanika 'owners club' and to start with they sent me a free set of VERY good strings ... for FREE!
I have a lifelong warranty on the instrument!! (I securely stored the email they sent me on this!!)

I have been playing for 11 years. I bought this guitar 3 years ago and I just love it! I still kept my old Rodriguez and I also bought a Ibanez AF85 jazzbox to freak out now and then, but the classical guitar playing will always stay my favourite hobby.
If it were stolen or lost I would buy a Hanika again: I would have to choose another model like the 56PF because they no longer make this 54PF-HG.
If you want to buy a good classical guitar with fantastic value for money and extraodinary customer support: go for Hanika!
