I'm going to have to give it a low rating for features. I'm not hating, just this is a cheap instrument. I payed $109 for it. I got the steel string version and the strings are flimsy, like something you'd find on a toy guitar you'd win at the fair. It's basic though, you get decent quality considering what you paid for it.

Not so hot. On the steel string it distorts. The strings are exremely close to the fret, but it does well until i can get home and play my baby.

This is probably the least best thing about this guitar. If your looking for quaity in a silent travel guitar, do not buy this guitar. However if you are looking for something cheap that doesn't sound terrible. Keep this one in mind, you won't find a better deal.

I'm not sure who made this guitar, i bought it from '2kool4skool' on ebay...and there customer service is great! However, 2kool4sckool music is in california, and this guitar was shipped to me from canada...?

I haven't been playing it that long, but not so bad for the value. I had to adjust the strings a little and mess with the tone til i got it exactly right. But I've grown to love this instrument, if i don't i still have a few days left to return it to 2kool4skool for a full refund.

I have the nylon string version of this guitar.
I can play this guitar and make it so no one in the house hears it. Great for practicing early morning or late at night when you don't want to disturb anyone.
It folds and the machine heads are inside the body which makes it shorter. In addition it is very light. These attributes make it a great travel guitar.
Ever since I bought this guitar I can spend hours in airports and I don't care... the longer the wait the more time for practice!!!!

For me, the sound is not important, I only use this guitar for practicing when I can't use my regular guitars. This is a guitar you practice on, not one you play on, because as a nylon string guitar, it sounds like crap, of course, there is no body.
Rating: Sound compared to real classical guitar: 0
Sound for a compact, lightweight, non expensive guitar that you want to be silent: 10

This guitar's main attribute after the fact it's great for travelling and it's silent is it's price, it's dirt cheap. But.... it's a peice of crap.
The strings it came with were black in spots, like they were smoked, can't figure that one out, maybe they put on old strings.
You will have to rebuild and fix this guitar, I changed the saddle because the strings were not spaced equally, I will try to add a nut shortely to improve this again.
The wire frame is wobbebly when openned to play, very annoying, I had to open it up and shim it so that it stops wobbling.
The battery was loose inside the holder I had to use a piece of cardboard to make it hold.

I suppose that it will last after you make your modifications, it's a big log, I can't imagine breaking it so I will give it a not bad rating.

I doubt you would get any if you tried, but I could not think of anyone trying to contact support...

If you are looking for a travel and silent guitar and don't want to spend $600 or $1500 on it, this is a great guitar after you fix it up a bit.
You can travel in peace, if you lose it or break it, you don't care. I carry it on the plain with me and store it in the baggage compartment.
I bet you can use it as a baseball bat if you need to defend yourself if required! Bonus versatility.
It's a piece of crap but I love it because without it I would be screwed mornings, late nights, and travelling.

Nothing good can be said about this guitar except for the jumble frets... as a matter of fact it is the best feature this guitar can provide

Pickup is completely useless. Battery box sometime won't open or close.
Mine has L channel with no sound. If you put a good set of string on it (BUT WHY? LOL).. in fact I put used string on it from my other guitars that aren't too worn out. I would never ever put a new set of string on this thingy

It is junk. But yet it is very fun to use junk. I bring this in my car and keep it in my car. Sometimes I have to wait for my wife while she is teaching her students so I pull this out and play it in the car.
If you got used to it it is still playable but don't get too used to it since it might make it hard to adjust back to real guitars =P

This is a silent travel folding guitar that is worth about $145US. It has an Harmonia sticker on it, I don't know who makes it but certainly it's in a low-wage developing country.
It resembles a Solo-ette guitar. As a body, it has a black wire frame covered with black rubber that can be folded when traveling.
Here are my comments:
I read someone's review about it before I bought it so I knew what to expect.
It's cheap.
The wire frame is wobbly, (as the review I had read said), it locks into place by the use of notches in the wood and when in place it can still move a bit.

The sound... it's like an electric guitar when not plugged to you can play it without using headphones. When you plug it, it also sounds like an electric guitar. The balance between bass and treble is not very good. It's the first time I played funk on a 'classical', it just had that sound and got me playing it... but that's not what I want to play with it...

What is normally the bridge has notches cut into it to hold the strings in position. In the review I read earlier, the strings were not set at equal distance. Mine is the same, the treble E string is much too close to the B. and the bass E is a bit too far. I would think that they are all built like this. I will replace that plastic part of the bridge, there is no choice. Another reason why you must replace it is that some of the notches are not properly cut and the strings can move a bit, and because of that they buzz very loudly when you play them.
The battery compartment is nice, with a latch-on door, the problem is that it does not hold the battery well, it is a bit too long and a bit too deep. So I had to use some cardboard to put at the end and on top so that the battery would hold into place and properly touch the two battery connectors.
The strings it came in with appeared to be 'burnt' in a spot, they were all black.... pretty weird.

I just received this so I can't tell if it will last, but I think it will, after all, it's just a piece of wood with a wire frame... nothing that can't be fixed.

This is clearly a piece of crap but I only need it to keep practicing technical left and right hand exercises while traveling. And for that, it's small, practical, and serves its purpose. But for anything else, it's definitely not interesting to play.
From a price to quality ratio, if your purpose is just to have strings to practice on while traveling with a backpack I'm really glad it exists and give it a 10, you can even use it as a fire log if you get in trouble!!! But is it real wood???
