This Harmony was made in Feb.1970
I bought it new in 1971
It is the Black Jumbo with the double pickguard (A la Everly Bros.)
This was an American made guitar with the woods that Harmony was using at the time.
One major flaw is in the pickguards. Mine still has one and most other examples of this model that I have seen have no pickguards
The glue was really weak and the guards would Buzz and most players would take them off.
Also the Tuners were lousy on this model (I replaced mine with Grovers)
Sound

This Guitar has a GIGANTIC sound.
It is very loud for an acoustic and very well balnced on both the bottom and top of the sound range.
I had the neck repitched on this guitar some years ago and we put two Hot Dots under the bridge at the time.
It gets a nice accurate acoustic sound with the right amp
Action, Fit, & Finish

As I said in the previous category I had the neck repitched some years ago.
The action is still high but I like it that way (Great for slide and Blues).
The reason you will find High action on a lot of Sovereigns is that the wood block is a tad soft where the neck & body join.
