Sound : 10
This guitar sounds amazing!!!! Mine came with flatwound strings on it, which is what they were originally designed for, and they really work well with it. The Dearmond pickups are warm and clear at the same trime, and the wood bridge gives the guitar a round full warm tone. Great for jazz or blues. Nothing cheap sounding about this guitar at all. This model was the bottom end of Harmonys high end guitar line and it's sounds just as good as a ES330 or ES125 for a fraction of the price.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Great action, neck plays nice and smooth with absolutely no warping. The bolt on neck is firm and tight. Neck scale is right between a Gibson and a Fender. Finish is beautiful, kind of a honeyburst tobacco sunburst and in great condition, no fading or checking. Bigsby works great, though the tuners are just ok. The G string tend to go sharp if I lean too much on the Bigsby. Once I pick this guitar up i have a hard time putting it down. I was in the market for a 2PU ES125 or ES330 but now that I have this I'm not even going to bother looking for one of those. This guitar is every bit as good as those, but at a fraction of the price. For now. These guitars will become more sought after as the Gibsons skyrocket in price. Sounds great acoustically also. Harmony was really trying to make a legitamite guitar with this series (H74, H75, H76, H77 and H78) and they completely succeeded. Everyone who picks up this guitar falls in love with it.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Like I said the tuners are the only weak element on the instrument, and they're not terrible, just not up to the quality of the rest of the instrument. And don't be afraid of the 3 bolt neck, it's strudy as a rock and I suspect may contribute to the neck not exhibiting any warping problems. This guitar will most likely never need a neck reset.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Well the version of Harmony that made this guitar doesn't exist anymore so unless you've manufactured a time machine I wouldn't cound on any customer support.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar 32 years, probably 25 professionally and I can say without question this is one the highlights of my collection. Again, it seems to excell at jazz or (40's and 50's) blues style guitar, I wouldn't classify it as a great rock guitar. The wooden bridge is a little too dark and warm for most rock appilications, but I'm sure someone could make it work for them. It's just a matter of time before more people become aware of how good these guitars are.
