Best aged solid close grain spruce top, all mahogany body and neck Nice real lacquer finish, tuners look like Schallers made for acoustic guitars. Tight grain smooth rosewood fingerboard and big frets. Best of all....................hand made in the USA!!! Believe it was made in the mid 1970's.
Bought one of two someone was selling here from a collection.
Not fancy by any means; just "old school" well made quality acoustic.

What can I say. When you combine real American hand craftsmanship with the best woods that have aged for decades you end up with great tone like this. Very full and even without any "woofyness". Real natural sound, without any gimmicks. REcords better than anything I've ever played at any price!

My guitar tech inspected it and told me these guitars were so well made that every part appears to be hand fitted with the utmost care.
He said the guitar has the "old" type of lacquer finish that contributes to it's great tone.
I was told this guitar has two adjustable truss rods in the neck to set exactly to the player's need and prevent twisting.
I have it set for average playing height, but was told that it can be easily lowered if I want.

A real lacquer finish like this or any other professional acoustic needs to be treated well. Can actually see how finish aged, creating that nice vintage mellow sound over several decades.

Their shops closed in Virginia and New Jersey in the mid seventies.

Been playing for 30 plus years. I've owned MANY Gibsons, Guilds, Martins and Ovations. When it come to quality acoustics, OLD IS DEFINITELY BETTER". I can hear, see and feel the difference with this guitar.
These guitars are so rare, that many serious buyers aren't aware of them. This has kept the prices around $2,000 or so for nice ones(I've seen some beaten up in the $1,200 to $1,500 range).
These guitars still offer the serious acoustic player the chance to pick up a true vintage professional American Made acoustic at sensible prices.
Unfortunately there aren't may of them around.
