Absolute perfection, quality equal to handmade

Great for everything but metal rock, who would use a semi hollow for metal anyway. Super Jazz and blues as well as easy listening, country great clean full sounds

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar needed a small adjustment for my liking but compared to other factory setups this was great

Reliability/Durability : 10
Its never had any issues in the 7 years Ive owned it. All the hardware is top quality

Customer Support : 10
Never needed any repair on this heritage but a buddy dropped his and the factory made it like new for him for a very reasonable charge.

Overall Rating : 10
Ive been playing 42 years, Ive gone through lots (hundreds) of guitars and this is one of my favorites.

This guitar is smaller version of 335 style, about a third smaller also lighter and about right to handle.Year date is march 2000. It has the duel vip with changed pickups which are now rendell walls "love um" from stock schallers humbuckers.Wood is top of line upgrade with tune-o-matic and gibson style stop tailpiece,22 fret, grover tuners, controls are 2 tone and 2 volume, pluse 2 vip for phase adj "takes a while to get use too. This is the bad ass! heritage blues deluxe.

Sound : 9
Here is the part the guitar nails, it can switch from blues to clasic rock with ease and still have a bucket load of settings left to search out, strat, tele, 335, can be reproduced with a certain sound of it's own thrown in thats hard to imagine. It has a blues edge through the fender blues deville 1994 amp i own bbuutt through a 71 bassman 10 it makes itself at home, all the clasic old tone sounds.Almost never feedbackes quiet .

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Buzz 5th out of box but ordered action low no big deal truss adj corrected problem, but down south its humid so truss has to touched once or twice year, hardware is all topnotch. Also had toggle switch noisy but electronic cleaner did the trick, also watch input jack it will get "and has" worked itself loose strange? Wood and finish is almost beyond compare to any i've ever seen.amber finish

Reliability/Durability : 9
use a 335 for backup but the guitar is rock solid, but the finish which is nitros will need time to cure, years.

Customer Support : 10
Warranty one or two years? I have sent it back for pickup upgrade, fast also right the first time.As for the company all my calls were answered by owners or plant workers who love to talk instruments, excellent

no paper work or anything, not sure year it is, tune-o-matic bridge/stop bar, pearl block inlays, vip system. guitar is smaller than a gibson e335..it actually looks abit weird..the h535 would be a better choice..came with a tkl case for 129..it is the same one heritage would normally give you, not a great deal..came w/stock schaller PU..visually it is not rhat good..a h535 would be better.

Sound : 3
vip system: save your money, all you give is loss of volume, the stock schaller pu are good enought..sound is good overall..good clean tones..good rock/blues/some jazz guitar...vip is not that good..but overall not a bad sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
the guitar came all banged up..low action with alot buzzing, do they have quality control ?..paid extra for matching pickguard, it came all scratched up..the did not look like a new guitar.what's up w/this guitar dealer ?

Reliability/Durability : 2
very unhappy with purchase..returned it right away, don't want to take any chances.

Customer Support : 1
after reading other posting about this dealer..I guickly returned it..called heritage directly and they gave me a good dealer to purchase from and also they had some insight to offer about the dealer that is selling blues deluxe..enought people have confirmed this dealer's rep, beware..called heritage directly and they can direct you.

Overall Rating : 2
got a h535 form the dealer that heritage recommended and what a big different..blue deluxe is ok but the h535 is better, feel better strap on, looks better, cost less.

Small 335. Maple top and back. Shaller humbuckers. Variphase coil splitter. Tunomatic.

Sound : 9
Sounds between 335, Les Paul, and because of the coild splitters, a strat. Very versatile. Sounds good out of any kind of amp. The Schallers are very clean. The coild splitter arrangement has controls to dial in a nasal sound. To my ear, that's a good thing.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It's beautiful. Antique sunburst. Flame maple has just enough flame to look different at each angle. Looks like it's on fire. Just stunning Matching pickguard (finally - see below)

Reliability/Durability : 9
I now own 3 Heritages. All hold up well.

Customer Support : 3
Tunomatic bridge came with slots filed wrong resulting in uneven string seperation. I gave World Class Guitars a chance to send me a new bridge. Even though I've bought 4 Heritages, 3 from WCG, (and I reminded them of this fact) they chose not to send a new bridge. Also, it took 2 1/2 months and four phone calls to get the right pickguard. Heritage, 9, WCG, 3.

Overall Rating : 10
If I only had one guitar, this would probably be the one. Very versatile. Size is right. Very good sound.

Natural with matching pickup. VIP system with schaller pickup. Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail. Pearl block inlays on neck and bound neck/body. This is a maple body. All these things are an upgrade according to ed roman. Basically a Gibson E335 type guitar but smaller and Thinner. Look at the $629.99 Epiphone Sheridan II Natural top and that's what I got for $1419, so I was not that impressed. I think the Blues Deluxe is something Heritage does for ed roman only and it is not on Heriatge's site so something is up with that so if you want to resale it, think again

Sound : 10
Sounded pretty good thru my Carvin tube amp with a Boss Acoutic Simulator. Great clean tones. The tap coils actually make the sound muted and the out of phase is ok. The VIP system is not that great. The guitar sound rich and full by itself. Really no need for this option. Overall a good sound. The stock schaller PU are not bad, not sure how much better HRW or Duncan PU wouls make it. Heritage are good guitars. This is the only highlight of my experience. I am getting another Heritage but a 535 and from a reputable dealer.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
Paid $1419.00 from ed roman. First I order an antique natural then it was sold already and no one told me. When guitar with case came, I was not happy. the $129 hardcase is no better than the 69.99 hardcase from musician's friend or something, not really worth $129.
The nut was very sloppy , there was deep nick on back of neck, multiple scratches on both horns of cutaway, the matching pickup was scratched up, the pickguard had a screw that was not screwed down all the way. I just could not believe Heritage would let a guitar leave their shop like this. when I called ed roman, he was like, "do you know you stole this at $1419, all those things I mentioned are not flaw, it is nothing, $1419 is a low end model, I deal in the $3000 or higher range, what do you want ?..another few words he was like I'm not dealing with this, I'm sending your money back..well, I'm still waiting for my check..I found out that world class guitar maybe selling some Heriatge seconds so I got screwed on this deal. This has nothing to do with Heriatge, it's ed roman's business pratice and I asked for low action and I got low action with alot of buzzing. Heritage are good but from ed roman *****beware*****.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
not sure the guitar on a friday and I fedex it back on the next monday

Customer Support : 1
Now I know why some people like ed roman and some people like to stick their foot up his _ _ _ !!!!! When I first spoke with ed he was nice enough and but after he got my money, was an a_ _ hole. I will never deal with world class. I called Heriatge and they said they know about him and heard every story about, some good and some bad. If your just a regualr guy good luck, if your some rock star or Ted Nuggent I'm sure he bend over backwards for you. Heriatge was nice enough to gave me dealer that I recommend with a 800 number and after calling this other dealer I know the deal with world class guitars. Never ever deal with "Low" Class Guitars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall Rating : No Opinion
been playing for over 10yrs, like everybody else I went thru the fenders, gibson, gretsches, ricks and 15 guitars later I know what a good sounding or a bad sounding guitar is and a poorly made or a well made guitar is. And I got a lemon from Ed Roman. Real Hertiages are good. Call Heritage directly and they can direct you to a good dealer

New,bought in 2002 from World class Guitars.Based on the Gibson ES-335
but smaller thinner and lighter. It has a double upgrade maple top back and sides finished in burnt amber.A exclusive model from Ed Roman who was involved in the design. It also has a tuneomatic bridge and stop tailpiece.Grover tuners and Schaller humbuckers which I must
admit surprised me on their tone, very nice. Also a nice TKL case which I payed extra for. Also all solid woods here folks, none of that laminated stuff you get from Gibson.Made by hand in my home state of Michigan.

Sound : 10
The guitar has many excellent tones. It has a VIP system which is a coil tap and phase switch for both humbuckers.I play this mainly through my Blues Pearl Texas Tornado which is basicaly a deluxe reverb. The guitar is well suited for blues, jazz, rock or country.I cant imagine what it wouldnt be usefull for, excellent guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The fit and finish on this guitar is superb. The hardware is top notch
and the fretwork is second to none.Only thing I changed was I raised the action a bit and installed straplocks. The finish is wonderfull,I couldnt find a flaw.Nutwork was very good also.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Hardware should last forever.I also own strats and teles and a les paul but find I play this the most.I cant say enough about this guitar,I LOVE IT!

Customer Support : 9
I hear the customer support is great.Ed Roman extends the factory warranty 3 yrs so he has no worries also.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing 30 yrs and I cant remember being so impressed by an instrument.Love everything about this guitar.Playability, sound, looks
it has it all.For the money I recomend everyone check out Heritage guitars, even better than the old Gibsons.

This is a 2001 guitar, bought new. It has a AA flame maple top and back, VIP system, bigsby trem. The guitar is a smaller version of an ES 335, semihollowbody. The neck is slightly rounder than the Gibson, but with a smoother back. The guitar came with a nice case. The VIP system includes controls for selecting coil configuration for each pickup, as well as rollers for dialing in degree.

Sound : 10
The guitar has a wonderful clean tone. The VIP allows you to go from the harmonics of a STRAT to the crunch of a Paul. It is actually a cleaner tone than a 335, with more harmonic overtones. There is a subtle short click when switching pickups or using the VIP, but not anything you would notice live. It has an amazingly deep tone for a semi-hollow guitar. I play primarily through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, but have also plugged into Marshall tube stack and TSL122, Fender vibroking, and MESA triple rectifier. Great sound with fairly controllable feedback, unless you are in front of the amp, then it is Vai like. I also play an American Deluxe Strat, BC Rich Mockingbird Supreme (79), PRS McCarty, and Gibson Birdland. The Heritage has become my main guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The finish on the guitar (AA flame, natural finish)is superb. Not a flaw to be found. I had originally purchased one without the Bigsby which had a small crack in the neck binding, and the guitar was replaced within a week. The top and back are nicely matched. Even the overlay on the headstock is a beauty! The action came from the factory a touch high, but a quick tweak on the truss rod corrected that without any intonation problems. The pickups are well adjusted, and the VIP works as described from the factory.

Reliability/Durability : 9
As with any hollow or semi-hollow, this guitar requires a little more care, but it seems very durable. I have played it live and in the studio without worry. I do wish it came with strap locks, really a must for any live situation. One fall from the strap would do a lot of damage. I never gig without a backup (usually the Strat). So far, (9 months), no checking in the finish.

Customer Support : 10
I have had to call the company twice. Once for the neck binding problem, and once to discuss the VIP system. I got a person on the phone each time. Friendly, helpful, and really proud of the guitars they make. In fact, I had to cut them off because they wanted to talk about new stuff they are working on!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for over 30 years. I play every combination of Jazz, rock, blues, fusion, and the occasional (though rare) metal. I play live, record in the studio (and at home) and I love this guitar. My favorite features are the versatility in sound, its applicability to every style of music, and it's light weight and small body. I would replace this guitar in a second. I only wish it was a marketed model, so that it would be featured on their website. I have nothing but good things to say about Ed Roman, but it is unfortunate this is the only place you can see this model. I also really wish they would provide strap locks. I have alot of experience working on guitars, but I would hate to crack the guitar attempting to change the locks.

Schaller Tuners, VIP Phase switches, Stop tailpiece, FLAME TOP!

Sound : 10
Using with a Music Man 210HD, this guitar has a RANGE of sounds my solidbody's cant match. The pickups can work as regular humbucking, out of phase, or I can set the degree of phase-imagine the possibilities!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I put a heavier guage string on the guitar (11's), and have adjusted the truss rod slightly-no fret buzz. The neck has ample room for those with large fingers-the action is fast. The finish is truly eye popping-great flame for this amber sunburst!

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is lighter, thinner than a Gibson 335 or Heritage 535...you will notice that right away. The hardware is all excellent-as this is my 3rd Heritage guitar and they are ROCK SOLID.

Customer Support : 10
I've never had to send my Heritage guitars back for any problem. I have sent 2 of them back to upgrade to HRW pickups. I spoke with Rendal Wall several times-he designed the pickups and installed them for me. He did replace a pot that was sticky at no charge-hows that for customer service! This company is the real deal-they know what they're doing-have been doing it forever-and are proud of their product!

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I have 3 Heritage guitars...an H150 Limited Deluxe, an H157 and the new Blues Deluxe. The flame on all 3 guitars would cost you an arm and a leg from their competition. I got rid of my Gibson Les Paul Classic to get this Blues Deluxe to get that semi-hollow sound-what a gorgeous guitar! My dealings with Ed Roman were easy and quick...no wasted time, he was honest, to the point and did exactly what he said he would. If you need your hand held-go to Guitar Center!

USA Made Semi-Hollow Body, 2 Humbuckers 335 style but smaller, thinner and lighter. Beautiful top, Amber color. I had the Vari Phase VIP system installed for and extra $300 and a Gibson Tune-O-Matic Bridge.

Sound : 10
No feedback so far. The sound is magnificent especially through my Fender Deluxe Reverb and Vibrolux. The guitar seems like it was made for these amps. Throw in a TS-9 for that extra kick and you have great clean and overdriven sounds. The Vari Phase really makes it. This allows coil splitting and dialing in and out of phase in addition to the straight humbucker sounds. Great versatility with some strat and Gretsch sounds as well as the Gibson sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I received the guitar with 10's and it was set up very well. After the strings had a little workout they stayed in tune. One very small scratch on the neck was all that was wrong.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Semi hollow body guitars have been used for many years. The early and mid 60's bands all used them, Blues guys. I think you have to be careful with a guitar like this as it is not a Strat but should last a very long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with Heritage, never had to. I have a 150CM for 3 years and have not had any problems. Another great guitar from Heritage.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for almost 15 years. I have owned many guitars but never a semi-hollow body. This is a great guitar, well made, looks beautiful, plays well and sounds great. If something happened to it I would definitely want another one. I compared it to Gibsons, Epiphones, Washburns and PRS. I love Heritage guitars. I think they are putting out some of the best guitars around today. After owning their 150 CM (Les Paul Style) I felt very comfortable buying this. I definitelt recommend their guitars.

This is a 2000 Heritage Blues Deluxe. This guitar is the same as the gibson custom shop es 336 except cheaper and nicer. It has dual schaller humbucking pickups which can tear. It has a variphase system of switches witch costs an extra 300 dollars which gives you the accesibility of single coil and phasing sounds.

Sound : 9
It really plays great for all types of music. it takes a while to get used to the sounds of all the variphase switches well worth it though. no feedback at all throught it

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
plays great. A negative is the truss rod needs to be adjusted to get rid of buzzing to to change of temp. great finish for no extra cash.

Reliability/Durability : 10
so far it has been reliable except for the truss ro thing. it could be gigged with ease. very comfortable to play sitting and standing

Customer Support : 10
very fast to answer my emails on telling me how to use vari phase and how to eliminate the buzzing

Overall Rating : 9
great guitar think i will keep it for a long time.
