It's a solidbody Les Paul-style guitar. It was build in November 1993 in Kalamazoo/Michigan U.S.A.
The body is one piece mahagony. The glued-in neck is from one piece mahagony, too and has a rosewood fingerboard with real (!!!) mother of pearl inlays. The guitar has a very nice maple "flametop". The color is Vintage Sunburst (this color imitates the faded sunburst of the original Les Pauls of the 1950's). Top and fingerboard are bound with creme plastics. It has two "Zebra" Seymour Duncan 59' Humbuckers (SH1), which are replicas of the famous PAF's used on the original Les Pauls. Like the original Les Pauls it has two Volume and two Tone controls and a three way toggle switch. It has Grover tuners, a Schaller Tune-o-Roll bridge and a Schaller tailpiece. I replaced the strap buttons by Schaller Strap Locks. The original pickguard has a ugly "hump" so I replaced it by the pickguard used on the H 140. It was not easy to get. I ordered it from the German importer (Warwick in Marktneuenkirchen) and it was quite expensive, but it looks so much nicer. The guitar came together with an original hardshell case.

This guitar is a sound monster!!! But you have to consider that it is a Les Paul and it sounds like a Les Paul. There is no coil tapping, out of phase, Floyd Rose etc. So, if you are looking for an allround guitar you may be disappointed by the H150 SD. But for all who are looking for the famous Les Paul sounds: I think you hardly will find something better!!!
I use it with my good old 76' Silverface Twin Reverb or with my Tweed Blues Deluxe (when playing smaller gigs or rehearsals) and it gives me the best Bluessound I've ever heard. Just plug in and you will sound good. The neck pickup delivers a full, rich very warm tone with enough treble to cut through the mix. The bridge pickup is a little more aggressive but nerver too harsh; perfect for Vintage Rock. The guitar has an enormous sustain (you can feel the vibrations through the whole guitar). The SD's can lightly overdrive a tube amp and you can control this with your volume control. They are no high output pickups. When you turn down the tone controls the guitar delivers nice jazzy tones (close your eyes and you'll think you listen to a big fat hollowbody). When I use it together with my Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal into the Twin (which is equipped with original old Celestion "Greenbacks") I get the defintive "Britsh" Bluessound (...have you ever heard the "Beano-album"? That's the sound...). You also can get superb Vintage Rock sounds ala Allman, Gibbons, Perry... But you always have to be careful. They guitar produces tons of bass and you may risk trouble with the band's bassman. The guitar is very heavy and you have to have a very good strap to carry it on your shoulder through a whole gig (you should have a good orthopedist as well...). But I knew this before and the sound repays for all!!!
Action, Fit, & Finish

I bought it second hand, but it was hardly used. I couldn't find any weaknesses or flaws, except a damage of the laqueur under the pichguard caused by the mounting screw. As far as I know the Heritage guitars come from the factory with the pickguards not mounted, so this damage may be caused by the previous owner. The materials, the finish and the construction are absolut high quality. The guy at Heritage who build it knew what he was doing!!! The action and the pickup height were not set up properly (this may have been a fault by the previous owner), but after I spent a hour of adjusting, it is perfect now. A very low action is possible and therefore the playability is heavenly. You can bend the stings over the whole fingerboard very easily. The neck shape is not too thick and not too thin. It's very much like the neckshape of recent Gibson Les Pauls. I felt comfortable with this instrument from the first second on.

I have it for one year now and never had any problems!!! I think it is really solid as a rock. I'm sure this instrument will last for many many years.
Customer Support

No Opinion
I bought it second-hand and so I have no warranty anymore.
The guy at Warwick was very helpful when I was searching fot the replacement pickguard. I never had to deal with the company itself.

I play for more then ten years now and I owned several good electric guitars, but the Heritage is definitely the best I ever had. I own a Gibson Les Paul Studio and an ESP Series 400 Vintage Strat (both instruments are pretty good), but the Heritage is unbeatable. I can highly recommend this instrument. I don't think that I will ever replace it. It's very beautyful, has a killer sound, has a perfect playability...what more could you want? It's the best investment I ever made. If it ever gets lost I would buy another one in a second. For me it brings back some of the magic of the old originals.
