Made in 2002 in Kalamazoo, MI by the masters who made the great Gibson guitars years ago. 22 frets, laminated wood. Two humbuckers, two tone, two volume controls. Came with Schaller pickups. Maple body, mahogany neck. Finish is Almond sunburst. Has upgrade to Gibson tune-o-matic and Schaller tuners.
The neck is what sold me. It is flat, wide and thin like a Gibson '60 Les Paul or 335 dot reissue.I also like the light, chambered body that gives a great jazz or blues sound.

Sound : 10
Jazz and blues. Couldn't tolerate the pickups, had them changed to Duncan '59s. That was a massive improvement. The guitar went from very good to excellent.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Needed a fret dressing. Had the nut lowered, pickups changed, bridge adjusted. Cost me over $400, but made a huge difference. The wood is beautiful, the color is very subtle and looks vintage. No flaws.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Play it for life. These guitars are built to last and are a great value. Some models come with Duncans or HRW pickups from the factory or they can be custom ordered the way you might want them for less than a retrofit after you get it. I'd order one the way I want it if I bought another one.

Customer Support : 10
I have talked to the factory and they were very friendly and helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing 37 years. I own various guitars and amps, but I especially like this small body, light guitar. I can play it for hours without it tiring me and get all the humbucker sounds you can imagine. I would replace it with another Heritage Millennium guitar, if the need should arise. I might get a different model, depending on neck shape, etc. (All Heritage necks are hand cut and have a slightly different feel).

The Heritage H-158 is a semi-hollow body Les Paul style guitar with 2 volume, 2 tone controls and 3 way switching. I don't know who makes their pickups but they sound very good. More on that later. It came with a Roller Bridge which I changed to a tunomatic. Standard tuners. Neck is not as thin as a Les Paul Classic, but not fat either. Neck has position dots instead of Block Inlay.
The finish on this one is an amber colorwith light flame and creme binding. Neck binding also.

Sound : 9
I play some CHet Atkins, Merle Travis style, and gospel and COuntry and blues. I also play some big band stuff. The pickups sound very good. The neck pickup is brighter than the Gibson counterparts.
Bridge pickup is bright as it should be. It works fine for my styles of playing

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Setup was not too my liking. I prefer very low action and could not accomplish that due to the roller bridge being a very flat, about 20" radius while the frt board was about a 12" or more curved radius.
If I got the middle strings down where I wanted them, the 1st and 6th were way to high for my personal taste. I am not knocking this too hard because some people may prefer that setup. Heritage swapped out the roller bridge with a tunomatic for free which I appreciate.
The top and back wood are not AAA quality with a couple minor beauty marks in the grain, bit not an eyesore either. Overall the guitar is very pretty.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Should work fine for live playing. I don't see any weak spots at all.
Hardware is good. Tuners are grovers. DOn't think I would need a backup.

Customer Support : 10
I complained about the roller bridge s mentioned above and told them that if they would send me a replacement tunomatic, I would send them the roller bridge back which I did.
I appeciate good customer service.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about 50 years. I love the style and weight.
If it were stolen I don't know if I would buy another one, but not because I don't like it. I love guitars and would probably want to try something different by then. I wanted a Gibson Les Paul semi hollow body for many years, and this one was much less expensive.
