The guitar sounds rich and clear and balanced very much like a 335 but not exactly.I originally sought to buy a 335 and played at least 50 of them then I found this heritage and it does all that I need a semi to do
both clean and overdriven. I have various fender amps vintage and new and an ALLen and use whichever wattage amp is appropriate for the venue.
the 535 shines in rock, jazz or fusion settings.I've also done some country sessions with it as a complement to the fenders and it sits well.Takes effects nicely as well.I do a couple Santana tunes live and I love the tone of this guitar and a barber direct drive more than santanas tone for these tunes.

I set my own action, but it was pretty nice when I got it.The finish is gorgeous and the neck is as friendly as my 1970 Les PAUL

This is an incredibly well made guitar.Being a semi I wouldn't want to drop it onto a hard floor.I count on it nightly.

I've been playing for 40 years and its the only job I've ever had.I loved this guitar the first time I picked it up and I love it more a year and a half later. The only slight complaint I would have is when you have to access the top 3 frets the pad of your left hand touches the body in the cutaway.I could use an inch more of space there but I've gotten used to it.If like me you had your heart set on a 335 try one of these. You may like it better. The resale won't be as high, but I buy a guitar to play and keep forever.

The most beautiful sounding guitar I've ever played.
Pinch harmonics just by brushing the strings.
Harmonic tuning on 5th and 7th frets stronger than
on any guitar I've tried.

Perfect out of the box.
Normally I have to get a guitar
setup professionally before I want
to play it. This is gig ready with
strings out of the box. The action
is as good as another guitar I just
got back from being plek'ed. Heritage
has a plek machine now so I imagine this
came plek'ed from the factory.

The craftmanship was superior to
Gibsons I A/B'ed it against. The
construction is rock solid - don't
expect any problems.

I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years
now and have owned over 30 guitars including
PRS, Rickenbacker, Ernie Ball Music Man, Dean.
Without hesitation this the best guitar I have

Thanks to Grahm at Wolfe guitars. He put me togehter with a lefthanded 535 Heritage and I'm so pleased at what arrived via ups. Being lefthanded, it's tough to find something like this. It was a previously owned guitar that looked completly new (no ware what so ever). I saved so much money by going this route, as opposed to a Gibson, that I still have money left over for a strat I've got my eye on.The sound of this 535 is completly different than any of my other lefties (1954 gibson 175,64 jag, and a 1999 gibson les paul).I love the 59 symore duncan's, and the wood/finish is 100%. Thank's again Wolfe guitar!

Double cut semi-hollow es335 style. Dual pickups, traditional volume tone controls. This model was specially made for Wolfe Guitars in Fl. and incorporated premium woods, Seymour Duncan 59's, Nashville tune-a-matic bridge, grover tuners and a non-standard pickguard. The guitar was manufactured in 2006.

This guitar sounds simply amazing. The Body is very resonant and does not have that "nasal" quality that so many new 335 type guitars exhibit. The center block does seem to have a bit more cut out to accomodate the pickups etc, but the end result is an improved acoustic tone. The Duncan 59's shine in this application. Using this guitar with a Allessandro Working Dog the bridge pickup is smooth as silk without the harsh B string response that I've encoutered on most other brands. Nice airy, velvety smooth clean sounds, that transforms into equally smooth overdriven sounds that smell like the classic Gibson sounds of yester year. The neck pickup is smooth clean, jazzy, woody and articulate without muddiness or sharpness on the upper registers, equally pleasing when overdriven. All in all ... this is classic 335 territory.

Here's where this guitar shines. Simply impeccable construction. Amazing woods. This is a handmade guitar, no CNC's, just good old fashioned craftsmanship. The "real" nitro finish was flawless. The neck binding is the nice thin old style binding that doesn't create those big square humps at the edge of each fret. And ... speaking of frets. This is probably the nicest fret job I've seen on any guitar made in recent years. Not so high as to create that " railroad track" feel evident on the newer crop of "rock" guitars, but instead the perfect height for comfort , chord work , and still enough to get under and bend , wiggle and what all till your hearts content. All this with a nice low action ( 3/64 at the treble side). Another quality of these guitars is their perceived tension.. normal 10's feel like 9's. I've got this strung up with 11's with a wound g and can bend and wiggle anything from BB King to Gilmour.. but still with that nice thunk that you need for clean jazz tones..
The guitar was set up nicely with 10's on arrival, however the change to 11's necessitated a slight tweak of the truss rod.

This guitar is now my only electric guitar. That decision was based on the fact that this thing is so well built that it will take me into old age comfortably. In fact I'm hoping my "maker" provided me with the same durability that this guitar exhibits !

Beyond belief in todays world. One problem that did occur was a small problem with the compartment in the case being too high. I called Heritage , spoke with one of the owners who sent a new case out within the hour. Imagine calling any other guitar manufacturer and getting one of the owners on the phone ! These guys truly stand behind their instruments.

I've been playing since 1965. My first electric guitar was a 1959 dot neck es 335. That guitar set a pretty high standard for all the others to live up to. Most haven't ... until now. There must be something in the water in Kalamazoo!!!
Yes , I would replace this guitar immediately if it was stolen. AND... I'd be sure to buy it from Jay and Graham at Wolfe guitars who were great to deal with.
Heritage guitars are simply the best value in an electric guitar in todays market.
