Listen folks, I bought this guitar from an buddy on ebay. He selled abaot 6 of them for 150 Euro. It`s still an prototype and I imagine that there was build about 150 peaces. It has one vol and two tone. The tones are for each humbucker. Two peaces neck/bridge. I heard that it was build in china. Its an copy of an jaguar/jazzmaster and it was build for the american customer. That the reason for HOFNER. (Normaly HOFNER for the European customer)
It has an thin neck but its very good to play.

I play this guitar through an Fender Twin and an JMP 50 (2x12 combo) It has an full sound but not so bright. Maby I change the pickups one time in two P95. But it sounds quite well and I played it allmost on stage as my leadguitar. The bridge pickup can use more balls. But its ok!

I play about 15 years and I have one Fender/Tele, one Pearl/Strat, one Sunn,Mustang/strat, one stagg/ibanez copy (neck/body is one wood) and I think that you dont have to pay more than 400 bucks for an quiet good guitar. But it has to be over 15-20 Years old. The rest sucks! But this guitar was made 2001 i think and its amazing what you get for that price. I bought two of them and Im happy!!!

I play all sorts and this guitar is really, really versatile. I play it through a Line 6 Flextone 2 (it sounds stonking through the plexi simulation!). The pickups may get replaced a little further down the line as, though they are massively better than most budget humbuckers, they are still not quite up there with the Bareknuckles on my Les Paul and I really feel that this guitar, despite its low price, is worth the outlay.

Beautifully put together. The action was spot on out of the box, the neck, while a bigger handful than many, is smooth and utterly playable. No flaws at all.

Seems to be very strong indeed. I have numerous other guitars and really only bought this one for the collection, so I probably wouldn't play it live. That's just me though: it would certainly stand up to it.

Been playing 18 years. Play all sorts of stuff: lots of rock, alternative, folk, jazz. I own a Les Paul, a Peavey Wolfgang, a couple of Jap Strats, a couple of telecasters, a Jazzmaster, a Line 6 500, an Epi SG, a cheap Hondo 335 copy, an Alden Baritone, a Charvel Spectrum, a couple of Godins (an Exit 22 and an LX) and a PRS copy with Gibson pickups. On the acoustic side I have an Avalon, an all solid Tanglewood, a Crafter 00, an Ibanez Artwood, a Little Martin, a cheap Liberty Resonator and an Eko Bouzouki. And my girlfriend has now banned me from Ebay.
I chose this guitar for its rarity and very low price. If it were stolen or lost, and I could get another for a similar price, I certainly would.

This is a prototype guitar which was commisioned by the German parent compnay to be made at a factory in China, with a view to possible full production. Apparently 10 were commisioned, and 100 turned up!.....so they put 50 of them through their paces until they were destroyed (ie; stood on the necks, left them out in the sun, cold etc), and then the 50 that were remaining were sold to one dealer (whom I purchased two from)who did a deal at a Birmingham guitar show to buy the lot.
The guitar itself is a Jagmaster/Jazzmaster/Jaguar looking thing, with two humbuckers and a Badass Gibson style bridge. It has REAL Grover tuners, a very tasty solid-wood sunburst body, and an oiled maple/rosewood board neck.

I was always a fan of my old Jagmaster, and had always regretted selling it, so I immediately felt at home with this guitar. The playing position is higher than a strat, so you feel "closser" to the action when playing. The guitars resonate very nicely, although one is an overall better guitar than the other due to closer fitting neck, smoother finish etc (only very slightly). the two humbuckers are very "spanky" in that typicaly gibsonish way, and sound as good as any expensive (ie;Duncan) pup. I may decide to put heavier string son it one day just to see what happens.

Very good, although like on all brand new guitars, I had to clean off the white finsihing dust in places, set it up properly, and re-string it. The finish is really very very good, and the back of one of the necks in particular is quite superb. the only minor glitches are on the "lesser2 of the two guitars, the scratchplate was lifting very slightly in one corner, and the neck pocket had had a small shim fitted. Apart from these minor things, both look at feel like expensive guitars.

Difficult to say yet, as they are both brand new. Everything seesm very very solid and well put together though.

Been playing 32 years. I am overjoyed with these guitars. they are about as exclusive as it is possible to be, and can only rise in value. they play and sound fantastic, and are well made. A right result!
