Can you imagine a Flying V built by Hofner ? Here it is !
Built around 1984 in Germany by that famous German company... It has a 24 fret Fingerboard, neck through body design with maple sides and bubinga top and back (they made quite an effort to produce an high quality guitar !) It features 2 Dimarzio X2N Humbuckers with paasive electronics - 2 volume pots and 1 tone pot. All brass Hardware, including the machine heads - even the pickup bezels are massive brass ! Jumbo frets and a Gibson scale.

Super. These X2N's normally tend to boost the mid's too much but in that guitar they are just perfect. I never had a better sound in my live and i 'have had and still have a lot of guitars. Very well balanced sound, a lot of power and a great sustain.

I have only had it for about a month an I haven't gigged with it yet, but I would certainly use it even without a backup.

Hofner are great. I haven't had the need to contact them for this guitar, but whenever i have contacted them so far ( either by phone or mail) they have always been very friendly and extremely helpful.

I have about 90 guitars ( I'm not a dealer !), 11 Flying V's, but this is the BEST !
