Bought from a second hand shop in Derby in May 2003 for #19 in excellent condition. Looking very 70's in design with cream body and paisley scratchplate, 22 fret neck, lacquered rosewood fingerboard, solid body. Has three single coil pickups and trem bar. Also has a rhythm/lead selector switch which gives it much more variety in its tone. It has a heavy body and is very solidly built.

Three single coil pick ups arranged like a Stratocaster, used with a Laney amp and Zoom Amp modeller it can produce all the bright sounds that Fender are renowned for, also has enough repetoire to give creditable bluesy bass sound. Produces a clean sound straight through the amp and is extremely versatile. Probably the easiest guitar I have ever picked up to play - everyone that uses it claims it to be one of their favourites.

Everything about the guitar is solid and very well built, well set up and no flaws. Neck to body fitting is excellent, pick ups and controls work brilliantly and sound great.

For obvious reasons with the price paid the guitar gets a lot of use and hard playing - with no detriment to the playability of the guitar - it will withstand knocks with no problems, and will probably last for years.

Been playing for 25 years, have a Gibson Les Paul, US Telecaster and a Yamaha RGX312, the Hohner is the one that gets the most use because of it's versatility, if it was lost I would definitely try to find another because of it's great action, build quality, sound and playability

Bought from a small music shop in South London in abou 1995 for around #225. Body shape is a bit like a Fender Jazzmaster, 22 fret neck, rosewood fingerboard, solid body. Had three single coil pickups and a whammy bar when new. It was excellent build quality for a cheaper guitar. After many years of hard use it's still a great guitar. Unfortunately it appears that few of them were ever made. Appearantly they didn't sell well. I've only ever seen two in my life. I should have bought the other one as well!

The three pickups were set out in a Strat sort of arrangement, but the switching controls were entirely different and gave a far greater dimention of sound than the usual simple three pickup, five way switch affair more often found. The pickups were very hot. Personally I would have preferred humbuckers, but these were as good if not better than any Fender pickups I've had.

The action was excellent and totally adjustable to suit your own tastes with a fully adjustable bridge and even a tilting neck adjustment and neck rod. A very heavy guitar with a yellowy-white enamel paint job on the body. The only other one I ever saw was also this colour. Tuning machines were high quality.
