Features : 5
3/4 size classical nylon string guitar (often labelled as a 'child's' guitar), made in China. Laminated spruce top, laminated mahogany sides, solid mahogany back and neck. Ebony stained rosewood fingerboard. Gotoh classical tuners. Gig bag or case not included.

Sound : 8
Amazingly rich sound for a small size acoustic with a laminated top. Notes and chords are quite articulate, even high up on the fretboard.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action was good, no buzzing. Attractive grain pattern in spruce top and mahogany sides and back. Finish was very good, with only a few spots of glue residue around some frets high up on the fingerboard. Of course, the soundhole rosette is just a decal and the position dots on the neck are painted on but, after all, this is a budget acoustic! I also think the bridge may be a type of plastic, not wood. The tuners seem to hold the guitar in tune, at least so far they're working properly.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I've only had the guitar a few months and so far, so good. I bought it strictly as a home guitar for practicing, but it sounds pretty good. If it mikes well, I'd consider playing out with it. I would think with the laminated top and sides it would hold up well to continuous playing. The finish seems fairly durable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
From what I can gather from the Hohner website, the warranty appears to be lifetime for the original owner, although I'm not sure. I didn't get any paperwork with it and it doesn't say anything on my receipt.

Overall Rating : 8
I've always wanted a classical guitar to noodle around with and this one, at $69 was perfect. I love the small 3/4 size. It's very comfortable to hold and play. I'm already quite attached to it and love it as much as my other guitars. I'll admit the more expensive classicals sound better, but this little devil gave them all a run for the money (literally!). The sound it had and the cheapie price were just right for me.
