This is a 5/78 model year, Japanese solid top, unsure about the rest, spruce top, mahog 1 pc neck, 2 piece back w/nice inlay, fully bound guitar, great sunburst, cutaway dreadnaught. It had a crack since new repaired at the factory(played it against a perfect one and sounded the same. I replaced the cheesy tuners with schallers. This has the nicest neck for me of any guitar I've owned includeing my 73 S400.

It became my main guitar for 8 years and then I got into a rash of archtop as I became a jazzhole so play this only occasionally now. Has a bright and full sound, not basey like a Yamaha. Jorma played(and signed!) it and he was suprised by the tone. Especially since it cost $75 new from the guy that bought out the fac. warehouse when they folded in the early 80's.

Decent set up but I tailored it to my taste. It's held up great over years of use. Well made higher end model.

Held up well even with the orig top splits. I've gigged privately with it.
