First of all, I must say I'm not a big fan of ceramic pickups in the bridge, but these Tesla's are pretty nice. Nice enough that I ALMOST kept them. Very tight and round, but not for me.
I just love the punch of Alnico V's in the bridge so I put in a GFS fat pat. Love it now. Swamp ash body gives it a nice high end sparkle, and a tight low end for palm muting. Very pleased. Pickups are so subjective that its almost not fair to judge a guitar until you have your personal choice in it. Once I did that, I loved it.

Kind of a mixed bag here. Overall I am impressed with it. The neck feels great, everything lines up perfectly, and it feels high quality. It just kinda feels that it was a little rushed coming off the production line.
I can get the action down to ridiculous levels (under 2/64ths) on the low e and not have a buzz to be found. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but after the 20th fret or so the fingerboard bends away from the strings just a tiny bit, which makes sure there is almost no buzzing or fret out on the upper frets. The trade off is that the action is slightly higher in these frets.
The fret ends are hidden, which is a VERY nice touch usually only found on higher end guitars.
Finish is beautiful, but its darker on the front than the back. I would have liked it to be lighter to see the wood grain easier, but when stage lights or the sun hits it, it shows right through so not a huge deal.
Finish also shows some spots (mostly in tight corners) that were not buffed out correctly and some rough clear coat remains.
Nut is set *slightly* too high. Not enough to plane it down, but just noting.
When I got this guitar, there seemed to be metal dust (?) all over the frets and my hands were black after playing until I cleaned the fret board. Very odd.
Intonation saddles had to be set WAY forward, some slightly off the edge of the floyd, but it intonates fine now.
Most of these problems were simply adjusted properly, or taken care of. And none of them significantly alter my enjoyment of the guitar.

This is where this guitar has earned its number one status among all my guitars. I've had a lot come and go (over 30), but this one isn't going anywhere. This thing is built like a tank. For one, it just refuses to go out of tune, no matter what craziness I do with the floyd. I knew I found a winner the first time I went all "Neil Young" on it and it ended up dead in tune. There's nothing like the feeling on stage that you know you're in tune. It holds its tuning so well that I use it to tune other guitars to! All the hardware is sturdy, and it overall just feels.... solid. I'd use it without a backup with no worries. But its still a good idea to bring one. And for the price of it I'm not scared to bump into something with it.

I've been playing for 13 years now, and am the lead guitarist for hard rock metal band. I've had Gibsons, fenders, schecters, ibanezes, Ltd's, and more. I usually sell of most of them because they just aren't worth the money paid for them. No matter how expensive a guitar is, its still just a chunk of wood with strings on it. This is one of the few guitars that I've felt was worth EVERY penny spent on it, if not more. I bought it on a whim because I love the body shape, the neck thru, and the transparent finish. I'm sure glad I did.
If it was stolen, I'd be online buying another one within the hour.
I wish it had some Dunlop 6100 XJ frets, and maybe coil tapping (i can add that myself), but other than that, its absolutely everything I've ever wanted. Zero complaints. All for $280!

GREAT FOR SHRED.NICE CUT AWAY AND THE NECK IS SLIM AND FAIRLY FLAT. REALLY CLOSE TO THE IBANEZ WIZARD NECKS CONTOUR. PLAYS GREAT. SOUND IN A LITTLE HARSH. BUT IT IS WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A GUITAR LIKE THIS. THIS IS HOHNER'S ATTEMPT TO BREAK INTO THE SHRED GUITAR MARKET. NOT BAD FOR A FIRST ATTEMPT.

I THINK THIS IS A GREAT GUITAR FOR THE PRICE MOST NECK THRU'S WGROVER AND FLOYD ROSE 24 FRET ETC.. COST AOLT MORE THAN THE $300 I SPENT ALTHOUGH THEY LIST FOR AROUND $1000. i HAVE HAD ALOT OF GUITARS AROUND 25-30 ALL DIFFERENT KINDS I COMPARED THID WITH MY PARKER PM20 PRO AND AN OLD 80'S AMERICAN BC RICH. THE HOHNER IS BETTER FOR SHED THAN THE PARKER AND VERY SIMILAR TO THE BC RICH.
GREAT GUITAR NOT A AMERICAN JACKSON BUT IT'S NOT $5000 EITHER?????

It suits my style of music really well I play mostly neo-classical type stuff. The fretboard has been well designed and is quick fast playing although I'm still fiddling with the neck and the action to get it just right. it sounds pretty good a little hard but has a somewhat hollow sound at the same time? If that makes any sense?? I haven't decided if I like it yet. If not I'll just change the pickups. I'm using two different amps right now one is a old ampeg 30w alltube which sounds amazing with the Les Paul But not as good with the Hohner. My other amp a peavey Valveking 2x12 (yes I am one of the many to puchase these amps and read about how so many people hate them but I couldn't pass it up for $200!!) anyway the hohner sounds awsome through this amp it actually sounds more like the peavey XXX with this guitar.

set up was better than most guitars I've bought new. However, it is also the first thing I mess with after putting on new strings. pickups were adjusted fine.
The action was a little high at the 12th fret the low e is 2.0mm and the high is 1.5 mm. There I just lowered it to 1.5 low e and a little ove 1.0 high e. I doesn't appear to have any buzzing but I'll let it settle and check again tomorrow.
NO FLAWS looks great

Been playing over 20 years attended college for guitar. (had fun!!!)
As far as gear I have all king of stuff that I'm sure nobody wants to hear about. except a Hohner Hr 1000. I wouldn't rate this a 10 but there are some very seriously good guitars out there. So I'll give it a 9.9 because where can you get a neck through with Floyd rose, grovers and a very nice fret board for under $500 new??? mind you I got a real deal. list is $1099 and hard to find right now, still coming out.
