This is a great guitar for a beginer and a pro gigging axe. I have been playing @10 years and still enjoy this guitar. It was the second guitar I owned and have kept it!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Very solid. I beat my guitars up good. It still runs as it should.

1998 model I believe. Origin uncertain- some parts stamped "Germany". 24-frets (YES!), volume, one tone pot which pulls to split the humbucker, S-S-H configuration. Awesoem combination of ash, alder, maple, and rosewood, the natural satin finish of these beautiful (and great sounding) woods is what drew me to this axe. Strat body-style, no pickguard, great tremelo bridge, all gold hardware, Schaller? tuners, neck feels like an American Standard Strat.

Sound : 9
Very flexible instrument, unique yet sparkley clean sounds- both Strat and Tele-like, can run w/ the best of the metal gods w/ the humbucker too. Sounds great w/ a tube amp (Peavey Bravo). Pickups are a little on the hot side, a bit more mids than a Strat but not too much. Only gripe would be better shielding of the cavity (thinking of ordering a shileding kit for $5).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Could use some set-up tweaks, but then again, I think set-up is so individualized that one shouldn't expect a guitar to come fully set-up just for them from the factory, except maybe a custom shop type deal. Besides, I like setting up my own guitars.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Definitely will withstand live playing. Built like a tank. We'll see if the gold lasts on the hardware. Everything seems solid. Wiring looks good. I'll give it a 9; experience and time could qualify it for a 10.

Called them once. They have one guitar guru here in the U.S. (Mike Blaylock or something like that). If you can get him, you're in good hands. Otherwise,....

Been playing 28 years. Own a '78 LP Custom, '96 Strat Plus, '91 Strat Plus Deluxe, a Hohner Professional ST Scorpion (awesome), Tak' acoustic. Been very pleased with this guitar. Love the woods, finish, and detail. Could use better fit in the neck pocket, but my Strats are about the same. Active pickups would be totally over the top,...
