I'm surprised by the sound of this guitar. It has brighter high, stronger bass, and clearer mid-range tones than my Alvarez.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I bought it used and the setup was okay. The finish is holding quite well
Reliability/Durability

It has held up for its two previous owners and now me. It still looks good and sounds good. I've haven't taken it out of the home yet, but I expect that it will sound great in the family room for a long time

I've been playing for just a couple of years. I have an alvarez folked sized dreadnaught, an 80s vintage Yamaha 500SBG, a Yamaha SE612 with a floydrose, and an Oscar Schmidt Delta King "office guitar". If this were stolen or lost, I would just go looking for another good sounding guitar at a decent price.

It's a standard dreadnought acoustic. I'd like a cutaway at this point, but this was my first guitar that was actually playable. Tuners aren't great. It's a natural finish, with a fake(as in painted on) rosette.
Sound

This guitar actually has a really nice tone, it is limited to the acoustic nature. It could be a lot better with intonation, but you can't expect that much from a guitar for free.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:6
Can't say how well it was from the factory, but the action isn't bad. Although, it could be better. The strings aren't parallel to the fretboard, and after about the 12th fret the action is really difficult to deal with. But seeing as it's a dreadnought, it probably wasn't designed for playing past the 12th fret. The finish is okay, but that painted rosette it bad looking. There is no flaw with this product .
Reliability/Durability

The tuners are very unreliable, any bends will ruin the tuning. I wouldn't use this guitar live unless I were just going to play the simplest songs I know. Strap buttons are solid. I don't see this thing breaking on me, ever. I take good care of it. I wouldn't use it for gigging. Just practicing.

Been playing for a little less than a year, and I've tried many guitars out here and there. This thing isn't the greatest guitar in the world, *that's what LP's are for:)* but it is a great guitar to start out with.
If it were lost or stolen I'd be upset. This was my first guitar, so it has a lot of sentimental value in it.

it has the glue left where the sticker that usualy reads " made in china" or "made in japan", but its gone, so no guesses, it has all the features you need in an accustic, with exception to a cut out, but if you wanted a guitar with a cutout, then just but a direfent guitar, so its not realy a negative thing i think its best feature is that it is what it is, a great guitar, no more no less
Sound

sounds fantastic, very rich full sound, im guessing its prety good quality wood, it sounds like a larger guitar
Action, Fit, & Finish

action is very nice compaired to my ovation accustic/electric, and it has very prety wood inlay work aroung the soundhole, and down that back seam,,for a cheep guitar, it is very good looking

i bought it from a homeless man , who had it who knows how long, and it a was litle rough, but im guessing it can take a beating if this guy owned it

iv ebeen playing 15+ years, and have played expencive guitars, and cheep ones, this one is one of my favorites, cause i play it ALL THE TIME, cause i dont care if i ding it, or it gets wet,,,,but it sounds and plays like its is a 300-400 accustic, and sence i wouldnt take one of those camping, fishing, boating, beach, parties, ect then i guess this hohner is worth alot more then those expencive ones are

I'm not sure of the year, but it appears to be between 7-10 years old.
It has a laminated top, no pickup, although I use a soundhole pickup single coil, and it sounds great. The tuners aren't locking, but it seems to stay in tune well, and I play it pretty hard. It's basically a dreadnaught body. Because there is no cut away playing high up on the neck is difficult, but because the neck isn't very fat you can still get your hands up there.
Sound

I play a lot of heavy chords as well as a fair bit of lighter picking style tunes, and I don't know if I got lucky or if this is standard on this model Hohner, but the action is beautiful. This is one of my first guitars, but I've played many -- the action is similar to that on an electric. I love it. I probably sacrifice some fullness for the action, but I'll take it. There is some vibration on 2 or three frets, but it hasn't posed a huge problem. Very happy.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
Well, I touched on action already- generally the finish is kind of a cherry varnish on the case and back, the top is a clear laquer of some type. Because it's a number of years used I'd say it's in great shape. It feels solid, it got banged around a bit for a while (before my hard gig case) and it faired well.

I'm a little concerned, and looking for an upgrade here because as I start toplay out I know it will take a beating. The hardware is original to the guitar I believe, so it has done well thus far, but it definately isn't as heavy duty as I would like.

Overall a great guitar for a beginner or as a second guitar. Might not withstand lots of gigs, or really hard play, but the sound and action are incredible for the price!!

this guitar was made in 1999 I assume and was made in China. It is a Classical style guitar with the 12th fret rite at the body, and a silk coated sound hole. I give it a five because it only has an adjustable bridge, but what do you expect from and acoustic. non locking tuners with a medium neck. It came with a card that was more of a survey than a warranty card, and thats all for accessories.

this guitar sounds great for the price, however if you are looking for something other than home fun get something else don't gig with it. Get an electric(dah). It suits my style very well because I just wanted a guitar that I could learn to play on and it did it's job. I've had it six months and the only time I didn't play it was when I was gone.
Action, Fit, & Finish

action sucked, It still buzzes like you wouldn't believe, but if you are not playing for people who cares. No flaws that I could find. the tunning machines seem like they sould be on a more expensive guitar. they never go out of tune unless you pull and strum the strings really hard, but that probbably is my strings bending. the string on it were great, I first broke one yesterday after six months of constant playing. But I'm getting some gibson medium bronze phos strings that would probably put the sound up to a ten. the finish is kinda weak. I've bumped it up against the wall carrying it around and it always seems to get a chip, oh well.
Reliability/Durability

I guess if you had to you could acoustically gig with it. the hardware seems like it will last for a long time. The finish may look like sh*t before all the hardware goes out but if you are careful she will be ok. there is only one plastic strap button and there is no play in it and it doesn't turn so I guess it is preatty solid. I can always depend on an acousic, espesially one that is not electric.

I didn't pay that much for it to want to have the factory fix stuff but I really don't know much about Hohner except that they make great harmonicas.

I've been playing for about six months and I'm a preatty good beginer, I love this guitar because it is my first, it is a great guitar for someone on a budget. If someone stole it I would let them keep it because if they are going to steal a used $88 guitar(used by me of course) they must really be poor. then I would go find them become thier friend and ask them for it back and buy them another. and If they didn't give it back I would say f*ck You m*ther F*cker and woop thier sorry a*s
