I recently Bought a HONDO Model H-160 12 String Guitar. I am not sure of the Year, But I believe it to be a Mid 70's, to early 80's 12 String. This Guitar was made in Korea, has 22 frets, Solid Top, rosewood Sides I believe, and Rosewood Back. This is a Real nice Dreadnought, Someone has replaced the Bridge, (Did an Ugly Job), But it sounds Like a Very expensive Guitar. This HONDO Originally came with a Tail-Piece to string it, but when the Bridege and saddle were replaced, they strung it from the front, and did away with the Tail-Piece.... This HONDO H-160, has a VERY wide neck, takes some getting used to, But it has the sweetest sound! I have a friend who has an expensive "Name Brand" 12 string, that he paid Hundreds of dollars for, and this Old HONDO, sounds Better than His.......

Sound : 10
I Play Mostly Gospel/Christian Music, and this Hondo has the sound I need for the Music we use! It is easy to play, has LOW action, I LOVE this Old HONDO! Anyone with ANY Information about this Guitar (HONDO H-160) Please E-Mail me at frankcannon51@hotmail.com. If you own one, I hope the sound of it is as sweet as this one!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I Cannot find any Flaws in this HONDO. As I said, someone changed the Saddle and Bridge, But the Binding is great, it has Great LOW Action, with no string Buzz. I Like this HONDO as it was made with a ZERO FRET, by the Nut! Dont have to worry about the Slots in the Nut being too deep

Reliability/Durability : 10
this old HONDO has been, and still is Durable, I believe it may be More than 20 Years Old, and it is still holding up!. I wouldnt be afraid to do a show, and never take any Back-Up Guitars! This is One of my Guitars that I can depend on, Very Solid, Always ready to Play!

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I Have been a guitarist for years, and Owned many different makes and Models, I wish I could have found this HONDO a Long time ago! If it were Lost or Stolen, I would go In search of Another one Just like it! HONDo Guitars CO, said it was one of the rarer HONDO 12 Strings, So it would be Hard to replace, As I dont believe there are many of them around. Getting used to the Wide neck took some time, But it has been worth it!
