Features : 9
Concert Model with soft cutaway - slightly longer, wider and deeper body than an OM. Rosewood back and sides, adirondack top with radius bracing, ebony fretboard, ebony headstock overlay, flamed maple binding on body and neck, abalone rosette, gold tuners, 12th fret abalone scroll fretboard inlay, gloss finish, clear pickguard, tweed hardshell luggage case. LR Baggs iBeam active pickup with soundhole volume control installed by dealer. Overall, the guitar has an understated beauty - definitely NOT for those who value bling!

Sound : 10
Rich, full, clear sound that is well balanced. Amazing bass response from a smaller bodied guitar - bass you can feel in your chest when playing. The iBeam pickup produces a beautiful acoustic sound that seems immune to feedback unless you stand facing the speakers. By far the best sounding fingerstyle guitar I have ever played, yet it has surprisng volume when flatpicked. It can be delicate and mellow, and can growl when played aggressively.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This is a handmade guitar, and the careful attention to detail shows! I haven't been able to detect a single flaw in construction nor in the finish. Clearly a leap above mass produced instruments.

Reliability/Durability : 9
When I first got the guitar I was concerned with its durability - as it weights only about half of the Taylor 814ce it replaced. But the guitar is now going on 3 years and is as solid as the day it was new.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never had to contact Huss and Dalton, my local dealer/luthier takes care of everything/

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 35 + years, and now play for my personal enjoyment and weekends in church.

Before replacing my Taylor 814ce, I played dozens of guitars and had decided to custom order another guitar. On the day I went to the guitar shop to place the order, there, hanging on the wall, was this gorgeous Huss and Dalton CM Custom that had just come in. I picked it up out of curiosity, played it and never put it back.

This is by far the best sounding, easiest playing guitar I have ever owned. If I could, I would rate it a 12.

Now if I could just afford one of Huss and Dalton's 10th Anniversary models . . .
