overall the guitar was in rough shape when i got it. But its looks inspired me to restore it.
the finger board needed to be planed, and the neck joint at the body fret needed to be took apart and reglued.
New gibson med jumbo frets were installed.
Stays in tune very well no wavering of tone. sustain is very good.
very slinky very fast, very naturally comfortable and effortless to play. (two thumbs up and 4 stars)
(however back in 1988 the old pickguard was with a trusted guitar repairman to be traced for a new one was tragically lost in a store fire (Freddie G's Rock and Roll, of Everett Massachusetts.\

I will offer anyone a good price for a trace of the original and mailed to my address. please i want to reunite it to my very loved guitar. Thanks Marcus Cane (marcuscane2@juno.com)

Sound : 6
a shure rock and roll guitar.
two music man 50 rd amps are employed along with a Ibanez tsr9 tube sceamer overdrive. \
very bright, under control, little noise, but very driven to punch.
hot sound, bite plenty of that.
likes sustain, dislike to light of a body,no proper back body routings to sit up again your waist.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
did not buy it new. to commit on the action.
pickups were changed, not my taste.\
proper top, bridge had flaws, cheap materials, plastic and white metal and gold plate was a cheap grade

Reliability/Durability : 10
with all the updates in bridge tailpiece, pickups and controls (gibson pots all around, switchcraft selector, and jack hole,
stap buttons where replace with schaller type, for fall protection.
very dependable.
it would be my only and main guitar, it is part of my soul.

Customer Support : 1
Ibanez support is very poor as far as products that are made older than 5 years. It is shamefull that a great guitar can not be restored with genuine factory parts. sort of a nose up unprofesional half rate company.

Overall Rating : 10
been playing 22 years/
i am not dissapointed with the guitar just the customer unsupport of no contact with this Phantom company called (Ibanez)?
I love the way the strings snap back and the effortless fingerering of chords, There is nothing to hate about the workmanship wood wise.
favorite feature is the custom body inlays as well as the finger board. and the mandolin headstock.
(I wish i had another pickguard to replace the one that was lost in the store fire.

This is a 1977 Les Paul Copy.It has22 frets. The pickups are super 58's.All the hardware is gold plated. The headstock is a mandoline scrole type. The body and neck are bound and the finish is a tobaco sunburst. It has a set neck which is much smaller than a Les Paul.Same controls as a Paul. The top is carved maple as is the neck.It doesn't weigh as much as a Paul(Wheeeeew!)It has very fancy inlay and there sure is a lot of it.The action is simply Flawless. The serial no. is B776671.Dating from1975 goes (A-L)for month followed by 6 digits, the first two are the year and the last are the sequential serial numbers.I got this info from Vintage Guitar Price GUIDE.I've owned this guitar since 1977.It had One previous owner(a former friend)who only had it for a short time before selling it to me for$350.00 CAN.It came with a hardshell case and it is almost flawless.

I go long periods of time without using it.I have acquired so many guitars over a period of time that I re-discover it's Beauty from time to time.I use a 55 deluxe,IbanezTS9-dx.marshall ED compressor,Boss Tremelo(don't laugh, you can hear Mark Knofler using tremelo sometimes),Boss noise gate,MXR phase100(older type)and a wee bit of bullshit.I have a 79 Les Paul Custom and it pales in comparrison to the Ibanez.Great for the blues.Very full With rich tones.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Great Piece of workmanship.Puts a lot of modern guitars to shame.

Reliability/Durability : 10
27 years an still as good as the day it was made,Yeah,I think It'll last.Never go to a gig with a backup, insurance and common sence.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No,No,I don't know.

Overall Rating : 10
Been pulling, bending, and making noise for 40 Years.I've only seen one other and it had a damaged headstock. To me it cannot be replaced,so I could not replace it if stolen. It was a product of the 70's.Ibanez now makes a lot of shit, some cheap, some expensive.Mind you, they do make a few nice models but most are out of range of many buyers.
