It's 'new for 99' acoustic/electric cutaway model made in Korea. 22 frets, two piece flamed top (purple in my case). It has what they call a 4 way EQ, but it's a 3 way plus a presence control, and of course volume. Fisherman makes the pickup, it has a very easy to change battery compartment. Very thin neck, it feels like a skinny electric (I like that).

unplugged it's kind of flat with little resonance due to the thinner body, but plugged in you can get just about anything out of it between the EQ and Presence settings. It seems to 'pop' sometimes with the presence up, but that could just be my cheap amp. If you're looking for a really deep sounding boomer, go elsewhere. if I had to compare the sound I'd have to go with an Alvarez DY88 (the closed chambered one)

no flaws, perfect beautiful finish, so nice that you just want to look at it sometimes. It's a very tight guitar, great for people who are used to electrics, and want to make the transition. I have to give this an 8 just for the finish.

I just bought it, but it looks like everything will hold up very well, and if it doesn't, I have a lifetime warranty. Backup? I don't need no stinking backup!
